It’s no secret that Jeep’s next-generation Wrangler is right around the corner (and a pickup version, to boot), but before we see the new JL Wrangler later next year Automotive News is reporting that Jeep is sending off its landscape-shaping JK Wrangler with a bang by offering a number of limited-edition models next month and into next year.

AMA-logo-230PICKERINGTON, Ohio –The 2017 Renewable Fuel Standard volume requirements announced today by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency are higher than the agency’s May proposal and will mandate more ethanol in the nation’s fuel supply chain despite a low demand for higher ethanol blends and an inadequate distribution and sales network, the American Motorcyclist Association reports.

“We told the EPA in May that increasing the amount of ethanol in our fuel supply creates an untenable situation for the marketplace and raises the risk to motorcyclists and ATV owners,” said Wayne Allard, AMA vice president for government relations. “The agency ignored our comments and the concerns of millions of motorcyclists. So, now it is up to Congress to fix the Renewable Fuel Standard.”

The Specialty Equipment Marketers Association (SEMA) show is the largest automotive trade show in the world, and over 100,000 people descend on Las Vegas each year to see the latest products and vehicle builds. Although there are more and more off-road trucks and off-road packages being offered on pickups these days, to this point there’s really never been any true competition to the Ford Raptor. At this point, the Ram Rebel TRX truck is still just a concept, but after a recent chat with Ram/Jeep Head Mike Manley during the LA Auto Show, it sounds like this is a truck they are interested in building, and it would definitely give Ford’s off-roader a serious run for its money.

Honda and the National Hockey League (NHL) announced today that the automaker will serve as the title sponsor of the 2017 NHL All-Star Game in Los Angeles. The announcement was made today at the Los Angeles Auto Show with a special appearance by NHL icon Wayne Gretzky and the unveiling of a custom-wrapped 2017 Honda NHL All-Star Ridgeline. Honda will present a new 2017 Ridgeline truck to the most valuable player of the 2017 Honda NHL All-Star Game on Sunday, Jan. 29 at the Staples Center.
