Pronghorn Tacoma, JK Bumper System
Pronghorn Overland Gear introduced what it calls an “industry-first modular front-end system for the Toyota Tacoma, though the same system is already available for the Jeep JK Wrangler. Pronghorn calls its new products “front-end systems” as opposed to bumpers because they are more complex than the basic bumper. Constructed of 6061 aluminum, Pronghorns front-ends can be built in 18 different ways, with a number of slots built into the bumper to accommodate a number of tools for the off-roader, such as a recovery point for tow straps, a rotator shackl for side pulling, a HiLift mounts, a dual-winch option and more. The unit is Alodine coated and feature a two-tone Dupont coat for added durability. There’s the Stubby version (shown) that tips the scales at 41 pounds, while the full version weighs in at 49 pounds. The Jeep JK bumper starts at a base price of $1640, while the Tacoma bumper will be available to consumers starting in July. For more information, visit http://www.pronghorngear.com/.

Sun Oven
If you haven’t seen a Sun Oven yet, you’re in for a surprise once you do. We were skeptical of its cooking abilities until we looked down at the thermometer and noticed it was clearly sitting at 350F. This solar oven can cook anything from meat to potatoes to whatever you can imagine – there’s a host of recipes on the company’s website. Whether you’re stuck without wood for a fire or limited with fire restrictions, all you need is sun to cook up a hot meal.

The Sun Oven retails for $399 (or $349 for the oven only) and comes with a recipe CD and organizer, multi-level dehydrating and baking rack, two easy-stack pots with lids, a Multi-Fuel Water Pasteurizing Indicator (WAPI) and two loaf pans. For more information, visit  http://www.sunoven.com/.

Jumping Jack Jump-Up Tent Trailers
Described as the “ultimate camping utility trailer,” the Jumping Jack Jump-Up Tent Trailer is designed to haul your gear and then convert into sleeping quarters in under five minutes. The trailer, which can be used as solely a utility trailer if desired, can accommodate up to 3,500 pounds of vehicles and gear, depending upon trailer model.

The Jumping Jack is designed to pop up and lay down in under five minutes.

When the trailer breaks down, it can be used for a number of different storage options.

The Jumping Jack tent for the 6 x 8 trailer is self-contained inside an 18-ounce poly-coated vinyl bag, while the tent extends to provide 96-sqaure feet of interior space and a 7-foot tent height. Inside, the Jumping Jack tent features two 34 x 94-inch beds and a 32 x 44-inch swing-up table. When it comes to travel, the Jumping Jack can be configured in a number of different options for storage of vehicles and/or gear, with the total weight of the 6 x 8 trailer weighing in at 1245 pounds (995 lbs. trailer, 250 lbs. tent).
