Ram Trucks announced the pricing and performance numbers of its 2016 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickups, and it’s clear the brand is looking to up the ante to build upon its “best in class” claims for the segment.
Ram engineers went back to the drawing board to recalibrate turbo boost and fuel delivery in its 6.7-liter I-6 Cummins diesel engine, as it will produce an additional 35 lb.-ft. of torque compared to the 2015 version. This will increase the 6.7’s torque output 35 lb.-ft. from 865 to 900, which Ram notes is “a number never achieved in a mass-produced vehicle.” Ram also notes the 2016 Ram 2500 will continue to lead the 3/4-ton towing figures with its 17,980-pound capacity.

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. – Wade Kawasaki of the Coker Group has been elected the chairman-elect of SEMA and joins the newly elected Board members to help lead the association for the 2015–2017 term. Kawasaki fills the position held for the past two years by Doug Evans of Luken Communications. Evans will begin serving his term as chairman in July. The newly elected SEMA Board volunteers are Susan Carpenter of JR Products, Laurel Dasher of Powerteq and Dan Kahn of Kahn Media Inc. Jim Bingham of Winner’s Circle Speed & Custom Inc. and Nick Gramelspacher of Meyer Distributing were re-elected and will serve another term.

Coldwater, MI — BDS Suspension adds to its diverse lineup of 1-8″ suspension lifts for the late model Ford F250 Super Duty 4WD trucks with new 2.5″ Proride coil spring system allowing customers to get the most out of their truck’s suspension at a smaller height allowing the use of up to 35″ tires. This new system is specifically tuned for the F250 owner looking for a 2.5″ lifted and leveled stance with the on-road/off-road performance of dual rate coil springs.
These new 4″ lift kits for the 2014-2015 RAM 1500 trucks with air ride are engineered to the highest standard to maximize the truck’s potential. These kits have undergone more than a year of development and testing to ensure they are up to the use and abuse truck owners expect from BDS. Up front this 4″ system include a pair of high clearance lasercut crossmembers, 3-point differential relocation system and differential skid plate creating a stout subframe for the suspension components to be installed. New ductile iron CNC machined steering knuckles are supplied along with heavy duty tie rod ends to keep the steering compatible with OE operating standards. Top mounted strut spacers are supplied to allow the use of the air-ride front air bag struts along with all the necessary air line fittings. A billet aluminum driveshaft spacers is supplied to lengthen the factory front driveline along with extended stainless steel braided brake lines, sway bar link extensions and all the necessary hardware to complete the install.
SAN MARCOS, Texas – On Tuesday, June 2, Ram truck owners will converge on storm-damaged areas in Wimberley and San Marcos, Texas, to deliver supplies and help area residents recover from the devastating flooding.
Tad Agoglia, founder of First Response Team of America, will direct the effort and lead the caravan of Ram trucks into areas where they will distribute supplies. The First Response Team of America will utilize a fleet of Ram vehicles and community restoration equipment to assist residents.
Auburn Hills, Mich. – Ram Truck and the FCA Foundation today announced the donation of $100,000 to the First Response Team of America, a disaster relief organization which is providing recovery and relief support to residents in flood-stricken central-Texas communities.
