BLACKFOOT, ID: With five independent series across the country, the Midstates Dirt Riot Series came to a close last weekend in Sturgis, Kentucky. Bad Advice Racing Matt Moore climbed his way to the top of the series with attendance at all three events – 2nd at Chaos Offroad Park, 6th at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway and a 3rd place podium finish at Baird Motorsports Park. Matt Moore was driving the #4436 car, owned by co-driver Kim Matzen. Haulin’ Yash Racing Tom Yash took the series honors in the 4600 Pro 4×4 class, and the SuperMod class saw K&K Krawlin Krew Kenn Hite of Georgia and Jeremy Dickensen of Texas/Tennessee cross regular series boundaries two times each to take the top honors of 1st and 2nd respectfully.
Monroe, MI – DynoMax driver Loren Healy won first place at the ULTRA4 4 Wheel Parts Glen Helen Grand Prix. On a tight, windy course, Healy maneuvered through a field of broken rigs to secure the win. DynoMax also had multiple qualifiers for the event including Jason Scherer, Tom Wayes, Levi Shirley, Wayland Campbell and Bailey Campbell. In the 4500 Modified series race, Justin Hall picked up a second-place finish.

RENO, Nev. – Undergoing rounds of aggressive chemotherapy treatments since early May, long-time SCORE Mexican Liaison Oscar Ramos Jassen, 52, of Tijuana, Mexico, died Thursday following the second day of his fourth round of chemo sessions, SCORE International announced.
Ramos was originally diagnosed with esophageal cancer in late April with a large tumor in his stomach area. He had been receiving testing and treatment at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia in Mexico City prior to his death on Thursday late afternoon.

The debut of the one-hour special will air on the CBS Sports Spectacular show at 9 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, followed eight additional scheduled airings of the popular programming through Sunday, Aug. 2.

The Stinger, Brandon Arthur, put in another consistent race during round 9 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California. His 2nd place podium finish was the third straight for Arthur, catapulting his Competitive Metals, Pro Traffic Services, Rigid Industries LED Lighting, Toyo Tires, HRT Motorsports, Method Race Wheels, Magnaflow, FiberwerX, Aeromotive Fuel Systems, F&L Racing Fuel, Impact, FOX shocks, Heatshield Products, Maxima Racing Oils, Summers Brothers, Wirefab, ECP Powder Coating, Bink Designs and Redline Performance Pro Lite up two spots in the points standings, from 6th to 4th. Despite a weekend filled with weather delays, The Stinger was hooked up right out of the box. Round 9 was supposed to be run Saturday night but torrential rains forced a delay to Sunday morning.

RENO, Nev. — Following the third of five races in the 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship, 19 of SCORE’s toughest drivers remain in the hunt to earn 2015 SCORE Milestone Awards. Last month’s 47th Bud Light SCORE Baja 500 was run on a rugged 510.58-mile course in Baja California Norte, Mexico on June 6-7 that started and finished in Ensenada.
Leading the way in the chase for 2015 SCORE Milestone Awards are six superlative stallions in the featured SCORE Trophy Truck division, two each in Class 10 and in Class 19, one in Class 1 for unlimited open-wheel desert race cars and two in Class 40 (motorcycle riders over 40 years old).
