Back in 2015, Toyota decided to take its TRD offerings a step further by offering new TRD Pro models, which were unveiled on the Tundra, 4Runner and Tacoma of that year. The Tacoma was as close to a no-brainer as you could get considering Toyota told us at that time that nearly 40 percent of its trucks were sold with a Sport or Off-Road TRD package. The only problem for the Tacoma is 2015 was the last year of the prior generation, so the Tacoma TRD Pro was short lived. Although TRD Pro Tundra and 4Runner models were announced for 2016, there was no sign of a new TRD Pro Tacoma – until now.

We bit off a lot in 2015 between launching a Pro 2 program, building a Bronco to race in the desert, and prepping/crewing a Pro-Light. I needed more time so the newsletters stopped and I put what media time I had into the realm of social media.
