BlueRibbon-Coalition-NEW-Logo-6-21-16Editor’s Note: The BlueRibbon Coalition sent over this note today regarding the Hemingway-Boulders & White Clouds Wilderness Management Plan in Idaho. See the details below.

The Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management are announcing the availability of the proposed wilderness management plan for the Hemingway-Boulders and White Clouds Wilderness areas. A wilderness management plan guides the preservation, management, and use of wilderness to ensure it is unimpaired for future use and enjoyment as wilderness. The draft wilderness management plan provides direction for managing the resources and uses within wilderness: recreation, search and rescue, research, wildlife, vegetation, while preserving wilderness character.

BLM-Logo-12-1-16WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Bureau of Land Management, which is responsible for overseeing 245 million acres of the nation’s public lands, has issued its final ‘Planning 2.0’ rule that will update how the agency plans for land management in the West.

The most significant change is the establishment of three additional public input periods early in the planning process to increase transparency and allow for more robust public involvement. Sportsmen and women are hopeful that these changes will increase public satisfaction in the land-use planning process and eventual management of public lands.

Head of Jeep Mike Manley and Jeep get into Movember with its new social movement.

As we saw with the mustached Jeep Wrangler at the LA Auto Show last week, Jeep is clearly getting into Movember. For those not familiar, Movember, appropriately in the month of November, is an annual event looking to draw attention to early cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment for men. Guys grow out mustaches to draw attention to the cause and look to generate money to help cancer organizations.
