Never has there been a more exciting time for tires in off-road motorsports. Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock (as opposed to charging through them or crawling over them), you know that the last few years has seen a lot of new players emerge in terms of competition. The result is that some of the established champions were knocked off of their pedestals (or podiums, as the case may be). And whether it was innovative design or just clever marketing that got the proverbial ball rolling, the competitive universe forced many manufacturers to go back to the drawing board. This means there are stronger, better performing tire designs from more manufacturers than ever before for you to choose from, and ultimately have fun and/or win with!

For this story, Dirt Sports has provided a sampling of what 2009 has to offer. Some tires are strictly for competition, some are suitable for your tow rig or pre-runner, and some are proving to be worth their salt in all aspects. Don’t hesitate to use the provided contact information, as these manufacturers are constantly expanding and changing their line of products with new designs, sizes, and fitments.
