Jeep Comanche
Based on the Jeep Cherokee, the Comanche was sold from 1985-1992, with two drivetrains (RWD or 4WD) and two bed lengths (six feet or seven feet). Four engines were available at various times during the run: A 2.1-liter diesel inline four-cylinder, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 2.8-liter V-6, and a 4.0-liter V-6. Four- and five-speed manual transmissions were available along with three- and four-speed automatic transmissions. There were short- and long-wheelbase versions, and one of the V-6s shared its basics with that of the V-6 used in the contemporary Chevrolet S-10.
