2002 KAWASAKI KX60

For all those youngsters wanting to get into motocross, the Kawasaki KX60 minibike is the perfect place to start honing off-road skills. The tiny two-stroke is built with many of the features and reliability of the larger KX models.

With a seat height that's low to the ground, the KX60 fits smaller riders to a tee. The works-type seat extends far up the fuel tank so riders can slide forward to reach the handlebars easily and get better front-wheel traction for aggressive cornering.

The KX60 features a liquid-cooled 60cc two-stroke engine mated to a six-speed transmission through a manual clutch. Long-travel suspension smoothes the ride over today's motocross courses.

FEATURES:

Electrofusion Cylinder

  • Improves heat transfer for consistent power output
  • It's porous so it holds lubrication well
  • It's hard so it resists abrasion and seizure
  • Allows closer piston-to-cylinder clearances for more horsepower

Liquid Cooling

  • More even-running temperatures ensure that power output remains consistently strong
  • Assures greater reliability

24mm Mikuni Carburetor

  • Feeds a four-petal reed valve for excellent throttle response
  • Allows the engine to produce good power and torque at all rpm
  • Adjustable for various conditions

Six-Speed Transmission

  • Positive shifting action and rugged durability, with a gear for every situation
  • Allows the engine's full potential to be realized
  • Provides oil level window

Folding Shift Pedal

  • Less chance of bending or breaking

High Tensile Steel Frame

  • The same strong, light, hi-tech material that's used on the bigger KX bikes
  • Exceptional torsional rigidity for superior handling

UNI-TRAK@ Rear Suspension

  • Features rising-rate action: as the suspension compresses, the spring and damping strength increase progressively for a more controlled ride
  • Air-Adjustable Fork
  • Allows you to tune the suspension to match track conditions and riding style
  • Nitrogen-Charged Shock
  • Keeps the damping more consistent on long rides and hot days
  • Adjustable spring preload

Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI)

  • Produces the extremely hot spark needed to ignite the air/fuel/oil mixture of a two-stroke racing engine
  • Easy starts and reliability under extreme conditions
  • Requires no adjustment

Works-Type Seat

  • Makes it easy to shift your weight forward for more front wheel bite in the turns

Fuel Tank Cap Check Valve

  • The fuel tank cap vent hose has a check valve to reduce the possibility of fuel seepage
