San Diego, CA – HMC KTM Factory Supermoto rider Troy Herfoss and Red Bull KTM Freestyle rider Ronnie Renner both walked away with silver medals from great rides aboard their KTM motorcycles at the first-ever Moto-X World Championships.

When the gate dropped Herfoss got the jump and the grabbed the holeshot as the riders crowded the first turn. Herfoss held the lead for a couple of laps until Jeff Ward and Mark Burkhart moved up to challenge for the lead. In the end, Herfoss held on for 2nd to take home the silver medal. His teammate, Fillmore, earned 7th for the day after a crash in the dirt section set him back while running in 4th. Nicoll finished a respectable 8th place.

Red Bull KTM teammates Ronnie Renner and Mat Rebeaud both participated in the Speed and Style event. The event judges riders on both their speed and the quality of their tricks as they race two laps around the track. Rebeaud was up first in a battle with Nate Adams. Although Rebeaud had a nice ride, Adams took the win.

Renner challenged Mike Mason in race #4, taking an easy win after Mason crashed out. The same luck would follow in his next race when he was matched with Jeremy Stenberg. Renner and Stenberg were neck and neck until Stenberg crashed and handed the win to Renner. Soon Renner was paired with Nate Adams to battle for the gold. In the end, Renner earned the silver medal while Adams took home the gold.

An honorable mention goes out to Mat Rebeaud who also competed in the Best Trick competition at Moto-X. His final run where he pulled a back-flip kiss-of-death earned him 91.00 points and 4th place overall.
