2000 YAMAHA SPORT ATVs Included in this year’s crop of Yamaha sport ATVs are the Banshee, “the ultimate high-performance ATV;” the Warrior, one of America’s most popular sport recreational vehicles and the Blaster, considered by many as one of the best values in the industry.

WARRIOR It’s powered by a 348cc four-stroke single cylinder engine with exceptional torque and strong mid-range power. Equipped with an engine counterbalancer for smooth operation and rider comfort on extended rides, the 2000 Warrior features a six-speed transmission with reverse that can be engaged from any gear and a convenient electric start system. The Warrior also features a 36mm Mikuni carburetor with a butterfly valve for low RPM torque and strong mid-range pulling power.

The Warrior’s snorkel air intake helps keep its engine churning even through mud or shallow water. The front suspension features a sophisticated pre-load adjustable double A-arm design, while the rear is made up of a rising rate linkage-type single-shock suspension complete with a gas-charged shock, with remote reservoir and adjustable rebound damping. Braking and traction are handled by lightweight, durable aluminum wheels, aggressive knobby tires and powerful front and rear hydraulic disc brakes.

The Warrior has nearly eight adjustable inches of suspension to tackle the terrain. Sturdy rock guard protectors and tubular frame shield the 30 watt Halogen headlights from rocks and debris, while rugged skid plates shield the rear brake and sprocket. The 2000 Warrior comes two color schemes: Yellow/Black and Team Yamaha Blue/White, and is available at Yamaha dealers for a retail price of $4,949.
