Gaffrunder-Husqvarna-Off-Road-12-3-13Murrieta, CA – What started off as a rough night for factory Husqvarna’s Cory Graffunder turned into a career best when he took second place at the Las Vegas finale of the AMA EnduroCross series. The complex course at the Orleans Arena played to the favor of the extreme enduro specialist, who climbed his way into second place in what was a hectic and wild main event!

“Second place is awesome; I’m pumped!” Graffunder exclaimed. “It was definitely a track for me. It wasn’t super gnarly, but they went back to their roots with a really full track. They didn’t have a lot of open straightaways without obstacles. There were no flat corners, not that much jumping – just obstacle after obstacle – and that really played into my favor.”

The night didn’t start off well for Graffunder, who found himself at a second-row start for his heat race. He was still able to get a decent jump, and even battle Mike Brown for the lead, but a crash sent him over the bars and into the LCQ for qualifying.

Buttrick will ride a specially prepared Factory Beta 300 RR and will join Beta teammate Justin Sode at the season opener in South Carolina on March 2nd. He will also contest a few select GNCC’s aboard a Beta 450 RR 4 stroke.

Husqvarna-GNCC-10-28-13Murrieta, CA – October 28, 2013 – Fred Andrews Racing Husqvarna’s Andrew DeLong closed out the GNCC season with another dominant performance in the XC2 class. DeLong tackled the 12-mile course at the Ironman GNCC in Crawfordsville, Indiana, which he called one of the best tracks of the season, and rode to victory with more than two minutes over second place. DeLong’s fourth-consecutive win made for a great end to the 2013 GNCC season, and allowed him to take home third overall in the championship.

“I came here today with one thing on my mind,” DeLong said. “And I did it. The track was really fun and there were people everywhere watching. It was great to end the season with four wins in a row.”

Johnny-Aubert-Beta-10-10-13The Beta factory is happy to announce two-time World Enduro champion Johnny Aubert will be a part of their factory race team for 2014. Aubert will compete in the World Enduro Championship aboard his Factory-prepped Beta 450 RR.

Aubert (right) explains why he switched brands, “I took time to think about the various alternatives which were proposed to me.”, explains Johnny. I had a very good feeling with Lapo Bianchi, BETA MOTOR CEO, a passionate who has great ambitions for his Brand and Fabrizio Dini, Team Manager, who is both an old friend and teammate. I am happy to bring them my experience and help BETA to prove their racing competitiveness!”

Bobbitt-OMA-Champion-2013-10-1-13Council Bluffs, IA – Factory Husaberg rider Russell Bobbitt took the overall win at the eighth round of the OMA Nationals in Council Bluffs, IA wrapping up the championship title with one round to go.

Off the grass start, Bobbitt swung wide through the long right-hand corner, missing the holeshot by half a bike length. “My rear tire spun a little on the grass,“ mentioned Bobbitt. “But I was able to make a pass for the lead in the second corner.“

Bobbit had the lead for the majority of the first lap until a small fall caused him to give up a postion to Kole Henslee. Bobbitt quickly collected himself and was able to regain the lead before the end of the lap. During the second lap Bobbitt noticed that his throttle was sticking and pulled into the pits, again losing a position to Henslee. “I must have tweeked my throttle housing in the fall,“ said Bobbitt. “I stopped in the pits and my mechanic and crew were ready to help. They got me going again within seconds.“

Husqvarna-Delong-GNCC-9-24-13Murrieta, CA – Fred Andrews Racing Husqvarna’s Andrew DeLong has officially started a new win streak in the GNCC series, having taken his second consecutive win in the XC2 Pro class! DeLong piloted his TXC250R to a dominant win in Foxburg, Pennsylvania at round 11 of the 2013 series.

A new stop on the tour, the “Gusher” GNCC lived up to his name having received a deluge of rain on Saturday afternoon – but the series crew was able to turn the track into one of the best of the season after having spent the morning making a new 10-mile course. DeLong got out to a mid-pack start and got to work pushing toward the front of the XC2 class. He quickly got into the lead only to give it up with a crash on lap 3. Fortunately DeLong regained the lead and put the hammer down to build a 47-second buffer over second place by the time the white flag came out. DeLong cruised to the win, and also managed to end his day in fifth place overall!

Andrew-Delong-Off-Road-GNCC-9-16-13Murrieta, CA – September 16, 2013 – After last week’s big win at the Unadilla GNCC, Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) Husqvarna’s Andrew DeLong was hungry for more, and came to Lynnville, Indiana with every intention of getting his TXC310R on the podium. After a hard day in the saddle, Andrew was carded with a third-overall finish at the Black Coal National Enduro.

On his way to the podium, DeLong managed to take his first-ever test win in the National Enduro Series. (Andrew won the Texas National Enduro but did not score a test win that day.) Following his victory on test four, AD had a setback on test five when he went over the bars in a slow-motion crash. The fumble cost him valuable seconds, and he slipped from third to fourth-overall by a slim margin. But DeLong headed into the last test of the day determined to regain his podium position.

“My crash in test five was the slowest over-the-bar crash I’ve ever had,” DeLong said. “Test six was a little scary at the speed I was going. But I wanted to be on the podium!”

Andrew-Delong-GNCC-9-9-13Murrieta, CA – Guess who’s back! Andrew DeLong returned to his winning ways over the weekend where he not only dominated the XC2 Pro class, but also climbed into the top-five overall in the P.M. race at the Unadilla GNCC. DeLong and his Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) Husqvarna TXC250R tackled the New York terrain, including the infamous Unadilla Raceway motocross track, and controlled nearly the entire race to emerge victorious.

“I’ve been working hard the whole break and it showed today,” said Andrew, who had been fighting to regain his fitness after suffering a broken hand earlier in the season. “I want to thank my team and sponsors for sticking with me. I had a lot of fun today and all my hard work paid off.”
