Fort Mill, SC – June 18, 2013 – Team GT veteran, Carl Renezeder, has himself a six-pack…of wins that is.  To date, in the 2013 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) season, Renezeder has managed to take home all six of the Pro-4 winner trophies.  In fact, he has an eight race Pro-4 winning streak that dates back to the Challenge Cup in 2012.  This weekend at Miller Motorsports Park, Renezeder looks to extend that streak to 10 and add to his list of 111 career wins.

While Renezeder makes winning look easy, the competition in LOORRS is anything but.  To win a LOORRS race a driver needs tenacity, finesse, assertiveness and a good set of General Tire Red Letter Grabbers.  The combination of changing track conditions, truck set-up and the other 15+ drivers around you, make for some dicey situations but Renezeder has the right combination figured out and we sat down with him this week to find out how he makes the on-track magic happen.  Here’s what he had to say:

Chrysler Group LLC and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have resolved their differences with respect to NHTSA’s request to recall 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-07 Jeep Liberty vehicles.

As a result of the agreement, Chrysler Group will conduct a voluntary campaign with respect to the vehicles in question that, in addition to a visual inspection of the vehicle will, if necessary, provide an upgrade to the rear structure of the vehicle to better manage crash forces in low-speed impacts.

Chrysler Group’s analysis of the data confirms that these vehicles are not defective and are among the safest in the peer group. Nonetheless, Chrysler Group recognizes that this matter has raised concerns for its customers and wants to take further steps, in coordination with NHTSA, to provide additional measures to supplement the safety of its vehicles.

Irvine, CA – All seven 2013 GEICO AMA EnduroCross events, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil will have full one hour shows on MAVTV for 2013. The first of those shows will air this Thursday, June 20th at 9:00 PM EST. The shows will again be produced by the Lucas Oil Production team with Cameron Steel and Jeremy McGrath providing expert insight in the booth. Terry Boyd will be on the floor for interviews and Erin Bates will fill in for any events that he can’t attend.

Corona, CA - After an international trip with races as far away as Calgary, Canada, Cory Graffunder was back to racing in his own backyard over the weekend at the third annual Prairie Dogs MC Last Dog Standing at Glen Helen Raceway. The extreme off-road event put Graffunder and his Husqvarna TXC310R to the test, but the Canadian was able to stand on the podium with a second-place finish at the end of the day.

“It was kind of an up and down day,” Cory said. “I was bummed about the first race being thrown out because I would have won if they didn’t. But a bunch of people got lost and it was mayhem so they threw it out in the final score.”

In the second race, Cory had a tough battle with Taylor Robert and ended up taking the win. “It wasn’t pretty,” Graffunder explained. “Right before the finish we crashed, kind of on top of each other. I got up first and won that one.”

LAS VEGAS — The second and final remote broadcast from the Terrible Herbst headquarters in Las Vegas, this week’s airing of Roger Norman’s Dirt LiveHD weekly Internet broadcast Tuesday at 7 p.m. Pacific Time will spotlight Terrible Herbst Motorsports’ family patriarch Jerry Herbst along with his two active desert-racing sons Tim and Troy Herbst. Airing in High Definition on www.score-international.com, the show will move to Reno, Nev., to air its next three shows before returning to its broadcast home at the SCORE International tech shop in San Diego starting Tuesday, July 16.

Scheduled for Tuesday’s show are Las Vegas’ SCORE Trophy Truck racing brothers Tim and Troy Herbst, two of the all-time winningest drivers in SCORE history all with family patriarch Jerry Herbst, who is part of the 2013 class of inductees into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame. Adding more to the live show will be live music provided by Las Vegas local legend Tommy Rocker along with the Monster Girls.

Kawasaki unveiled today its 2014 KX250F and KX450F to the world. Both bikes have seen some pretty major changes in the last few years, including more adjustability with the motor and suspension fine-tuning. The two flagships motocross bikes return for Kawasaki in 2014 with the KX250F receiving the lion’s share of upgrades for the new model year. Below is a breakdown on each model for 2014.

2014 KAWASAKI KX250F
As Kawasaki notes, no other 250cc motocross bike in the modern four-stroke era has earned more championship titles in AMA Supercross and Motocross than the Kawasaki KX250F. The KX250F features a plug-and-play adjustable ECU, a narrow frame, Separate Function Fork (SFF) fork and slim ergonomics. For 2014, the KX250F also gets a the Launch Control device introduced on the KX450F. The system adjust the ignition timing in first and second gear to help control traction and reduce wheel spin when starting on slippery surfaces. The system is controlled by pushing a button on the left handlebar of the KX250F.

BREA, Calif. – Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) continues its introduction of 2014 vehicles by announcing the 2014 RM-Z450 and RM-Z250. The company recently announced the expansion of the Suzuki Boulevard cruiser line.

For 2014, the Suzuki RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 feature updated ECM ignition programs that improve starting, as well as race-inspired Champion Yellow-and-black graphics to best fit each bike’s high-performance character. These upgrades show Suzuki’s continued commitment to the already-strong performance of its RM-Z450 and RM-Z250, facts proven in part by Cycle World magazine’s repeat acknowledgement of the RM-Z450 as Best Motocrosser in 2011 and 2012. And in 2013, both the RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 was chosen by Transworld MX as their bikes of the year. The RM-Z450 was also selected as the class-leader by RacerX.

MASONTOWN, W. Va. – Round 8 of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series made a stop in Masontown, W. Va. on Saturday, where thousands of fans witnessed a spectacular day of ATV racing. West Virginia’s very own Adam McGill bested the current points leader Chris Borich in an exciting battle that came down to the final turns of the Parts Unlimited Mountaineer Run GNCC.

McGill began his day on the right foot, taking the $250 Team Woodhead/DeRisi Racing XC1 Holeshot Award in front of his hometown crowd of friends and family. Four-Time GNCC Champion Chris Borich jumped into the second place position right away, while JB Racing/Can-Am’s Jarrod McClure began the afternoon in third. Reliable Tool Supply/Maxxis’ Chris Bithell and AmPro Yamaha’s Walker Fowler also put themselves into the top five battle right way and the lead pack rode wheel-to-wheel on the opening lap.

MASONTOWN, W. Va. – Heavy rainfall leading up to Sunday’s Parts Unlimited Mountaineer Run GNCC made for slippery track conditions at Round 8 of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series. However, despite the difficult terrain conditions, the 1 p.m. afternoon race boasted some of the most exciting race action of the 2013 season. Kailub Russell dominated the three-hour competition, capturing his second-straight victory of the season, where he closed the gap to less than ten points behind Charlie Mullins in the National Championship standings. In the XC2 Pro Lites class, defending champion Jason Thomas used his veteran knowledge to best his rookie competition as he secured his first win of the season.

Defending National Champion Paul Whibley battled it out with his AmPro Yamaha teammate Jordan Ashburn right off the start, where the duo went nearly side-by-side through the All Balls Racing XC1 Holeshot line, but Whibley once again went home with the $250 prize. Ashburn wasn’t able to brake for the slick corner, causing the Tennessee native to go down,  where he began the race in the back of the pack.

PLACERVILLE, CA: Dirt Riot comes to Colorado Springs, Colorado this weekend at the RAM Offroad Park for the second race of the Mountain Series kicking it off with a Driver Meet and Greet on Friday night at Southside Johnny’s in Colorado Springs.  Thoughts have been with the families that are affected by the fires in the surrounding areas.  Luckily, these fires do not affect the RAM Offroad Park and the race will be held on Saturday as scheduled.  “We have been watching the plumes of smoke from the park as we set up this amazing course.  We know a lot of the local families are challenged,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events.  “But, the show must go on.  Rescheduling is virtually impossible with the amount of races that we produce in a year, and we have multiple racers that travel from out of state.  Our thoughts are with the people in the local areas and we extend our event as an opportunity for everyone to come and enjoy a day with their family.”

The course at RAM Offroad Park has been a driver’s favorite for years. It also has one of the best spectator areas, with multiple viewing locations that can give completely different experiences.  This course has more jumps than any other course Dirt Riot uses.  The two big uphill jumps right off the starting line have been “re-worked” and offer another level of excitement.  The big hill climbs combined with big dirt drop offs, twisty canyons and a motocross style track with huge banked corners will keep the drivers very busy driving.  Then add in three long straight-aways that the Pro 4×4 4400 drivers will reach max speeds.
