Danny-Beauchamp-TORC-Crandon-9-5-13Escanaba, MI – The battle for the TORC Super Stock Championship came down the final lap of the season and for the second year in a row Danny Beauchamp handled the pressure to claim his second consecutive championship. The Labor Day Weekend event in Crandon not only saw Beauchamp compete in the final two rounds of the TORC Sportsman season, but the team competed in Friday evening’s B & L SAND TOYS Sportsman Trophy Race. Needless to say the Upper Peninsula crew rose to the occasion every time Beauchamp hit the track.

The weekend of racing for Danny Beauchamp and the #826 Coplan’s Iron & Metal/Hill Top RV Superstore/JC’s Mobile Wash/Splash of Color/Pike Distributors Ford F-150 began with the B & L SAND TOYS Sportsman Trophy Race. The race was similar the weekend ending AMSOIL CUP, but this race put nearly thirty Sportsman race trucks representing four truck classes, starting at three separate times, out on the track for over $13,000 in cash and product. Beauchamp at one point led the middle stages of the race, but two racers from the quicker classes were able to make clean passes around the Coplan’s Iron & Metal Super Stock Truck. Even with that said, Beauchamp kept charging and finished third overall, taking home over $2,000 for his efforts.

Troy-Retzlaff-Crandon-9-3-13Crandon, WI – The B & L Sand Toys Sportsman Trophy Race had four different Sportsman Truck divisions competing for nearly fourteen thousand dollars in cash and products. The eight lap sprint was the featured race of the Forest County Potawatomi Friday Night Thunder program during the opening day festivities the Labor Day Weekend Crandon Off-Road World Championships. The field of Sport 4, Formula 4×4, Super Truck, and Super Stock racers set a blistering pace as Troy Retzlaff in his Super Truck raced through much of the field to win the inaugural event.

The eight lap event saw the three groups of racers lined up for the infamous land rush start as the Super Stock Trucks had thirty five second head start on the Formula 4×4/Super Truck group and the faster Sport 4 trucks left the line another forty seconds later.

Beauchamp-Off-Road-TORC-8-16-13Escanaba, MI – After back to back wins in at Chicagoland Speedway, Danny Beauchamp backed up that performance with great charge from the back of the field to finish second in Round 7 of the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL. With only two more rounds of racing left in the season, Beauchamp is definitely in the hunt for Super Stock Truck Championship.

In previous years, the one mile long Red Bud short-course track has been known to really tear up both Sportsman and PRO race trucks. In an effort to minimize the wear and tear on all TORC racers, the actual layout was slightly changed as portions of the track were widened and the downhill section was relocated eliminating a troublesome off-camber corner. Of course the high flying rollers and the monster -air step-up were still in place.

Beauchamp-TORC-Off-Road-7-25-13Escanaba, MI (July 25, 2013) – After finally getting his break through win for the 2013 TORC season in Crandon, Danny Beauchamp continued his winning ways with back to back victories at the Dirt Track @ Route 66 Raceway. The reigning Super Stock Truck Champion is showing the competition that it’s never too late to challenge for a championship. With just four rounds of racing left in the race season, the black #826 Ford F-150 is only four points out of the championship lead.

For the first time in Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL history, the Super Stock Truck class competed on the one-mile long “Bowl of Baja.” The layout didn’t look that challenging at first glance, but as soon as all the racers finished up their Friday practice session, everyone’s opinion definitely changed. The outside portion of the track ran a majority of the half-mile dirt track with a few large jump to give the fans a thrill, while the infield was more technical with four unique corners with smaller jumps placed in such a way that kept every racer needing to catch their breath.

Danny-Beauchamp-TORC-Crandon-7-10-13Escanaba, MI – After several bouts of heart wrenching bad luck, Danny Beauchamp broke through to take his first win of in the TORC Sportsman race season. Before taking home the top spot in Sunday’s Super Stock Truck race, Beauchamp had to withstand one more round of disappointment during Saturday’s eight lap feature.

Danny Beauchamp Racing seemed to have the truck to beat during the opening rounds of TORC Super Stock Truck competition, only to have minor issues that would prevent the black #826 Ford F-150 from finishing either race. Undaunted, the team leader and crew chief Kevin Frossard made sure everything was triple checked before the truck was loaded in the trailer for the two hour trip to Crandon, Wisconsin.

The weekend at Crandon started out wet. In fact all the on track activities for all the competitors were cancelled as intermittent rain showers hovered over the 1.8 mile “Big House” race track. In fact the rain continued through the night and into the early morning , as track officials also cancelled Saturday morning practice as well. Somehow all the racing did go off on schedule.

R2C-TORC-Bark-River-6-25-13Vernon Hills, IL – The Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL opened its 2013 Sportsman racing season last week in Bark River, Michigan and R2C Competition Filters dominated the competition in the Super Stock Truck division. The conditions throughout the two days of competition ranged from wet and muddy to dry and dusty as R2C equipped racers found the top spot on the podium during both days of competition.

The TORC Super Stock Truck division features stock chassis light duty trucks with significant modifications. The trucks feature high modified V-8 powerplants and longer travel suspension. The races are only fifteen to twenty minutes long, but the drivers push their trucks to their limits and beyond. It’s almost like racing the Baja 1000 in twenty minutes.

Escanaba, MI (September 20, 2012) -The 2012 TORC race season saw an epic battle for the Super Stock Truck Championship that saw Upper Michigan’s Danny Beauchamp take home the title after sweeping the final weekend of racing at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway. The win on Saturday also gave him the title of World Champion and the win in Sunday’s final race of the season saw the twenty-eight year old clinch the TORC Championship.

The 10-race season didn’t start off as well as the team hoped, as the team missed finishing on the podium in the first three rounds of racing, but the Sunday race at Spring Crandon saw the Mole Lake Casino/Bach Mobilities Inc./Hilltop RV sponsored Ford F-150 finish second after a great battle with race winner Nick Byng.
