Caddell was victorious in PRO Light, while MacCachren won the 19th Annual Chairman’s Cup Challenge, a non-points special event that pitted PRO 2 drivers again PRO 4 drivers at the conclusion of the weekend.

“Congratulations to Andrew Caddell and Rob MacCachren for winning today at Crandon,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care brand. “The beginning of the 2012 season has been another outstanding one for Mopar Ram Truck drivers. The power that the Mopar engines produce and the reliability of the Ram Truck is second to none. We look forward to returning to the track in a few weeks in Chicago to battle for more victories.”

Caddell, who lined up 10th on the grid in PRO Light in his Mopar Ram, used a strong launch on the famed “Land Rush” standing start, and was running fourth coming into the first turn on the opening lap. He charged to the outside of Keegan Kincaid to take the third spot before the first lap was completed. On the second circuit, Caddell was able to work his way past Randy Eller to move into the runner-up position. The native of Graham, Wash., inherited the lead during the mandatory competition caution on the fifth lap, after early race leader C.J. Greaves was penalized one position for jumping the initial start.

LAKE FOREST, CA (April 7, 2011) – With a quiet confidence and decided determination, Carl Renezeder and his crew will head to Surprise, Arizona next weekend (April 15-17) for rounds three and four of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.  Last year Renezeder found plenty of success on the desert short course at Speedworld Motorsports Park with three wins and seven total podiums in eight races.

“We’re just going to keep chipping away at this season one race at a time, taking nothing for granted,” commented Renezeder.  “More than ever, we’re appreciating each chance we get to make laps in these truck, giving us the opportunity to improve.”

Years ago, making these trucks faster usually required a few big changes, but as they’ve evolved, finding the on-track advantage has become about the small changes and constant innovation.

“Staying ahead of the learning and development curves with these trucks is crucial,” explained Renezeder.  “It’s pretty easy to find 95% of the speed out there; it’s the last 5% that requires the majority of our effort.”

So as the team, lead by crew chief Bill Smith of ProFab Motorsport, heads out to the Phoenix area next weekend, they will continue to find ways to get quicker each lap.  That and a little bit of luck is what it will take to find the next win.

The series opens the weekend with practice and qualifying on Friday, April 15, followed by an autograph session and event kick-off party at The Tilted Kilt in Peoria, featuring Renezeder and several other top drivers.  Renezeder will then celebrate his birthday on Saturday by throwing around some dirt and chasing a couple of trophies as the Series hosts round three of the championship starting at 2:00 p.m.  Sunday will consist of qualifying in the morning and then round four races starting at the same time as Saturday.

Team Renezeder is proud to announce on the opening day of the 2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Season, its new alliance the KMC Wheels.  The TR17 Forged Alloy wheel that driver Carl Renezeder has spent the last two seasons developing is now part of the iconic KMC brand line-up.

“We sat down recently to talk about how this wheel could work well for both of us,” explained Renezeder, a legend in the making with 92 short-course wins to his name, “and we walked away feeling like we just caught up with old friends.  It’s great to find something that clicks so well personality-wise, and also makes good business sense.  It’s a perfect match.”

CORONA, CA – In off-road racing, there are limits: Limits to horsepower, speed, and even passing. But the most efficient way to push those limits out further is with traction. With better traction, you can apply more horsepower to the ground, you can go faster, and you can take the lines you need to take in order to get around your competition.

And that’s why it’s so important that the 2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Series has strong competition where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. We’re talking, of course, about the tire manufacturers, all of whom have returned for 2011, along with a new player in the game.

The inaugural U.S. Rallycross Championship debuts in the United States in 2011 with a six race slate, three of which will be combined with the TORC Off Road Racing Series at some of the greatest venues in off-road today.

Rallycross is an extreme action-motorsport using World Rally Championship type race cars competing on a closed, short course…similar to TORC’s Off Road Truck race courses! With strong roots coming from the Nordic countries such as Netherlands, Belgium and France, the FIA European Rallycross Championship is the largest of its kind.

The new debut of the U.S. Rallycross Championship will be included as part of a newly announced GLOBAL RallyCross Championship, an ESPN partnership with races leading and including the ESPN Summer X Games.

The U.S. Rallycross Championship will make three stops on the TORC Off Road Championship tour in 2011, at the famous off-road facilities Bark River and Crandon International Raceway. Rallycross will also compete with TORC at Chicagoland Speedway in September as part of the tracks large NASCAR weekend, the first race of NASCAR’s “Chase” Championship run.

“We are very excited to combine the synergies of short-course off-road racing of TORCs trucks series and RallyCar. We are building a great partnership with RallyCar and look forward to welcoming their strong field of competition at some of America’s finest off-road venues in 2011″ stated Kevin Miller, CEO of the United States Automobile Club and the sanctioning organization behind the TORC Series.

“I’ve been stoked since the moment Kevin approached me about partnering with TORC! The opportunity to bring this new-to-America sport to the huge TORC audience at legendary venues like Crandon is an awesome opportunity for RallyCar, our teams, and their sponosors.”

Race Schedule:
August 13 -14 at Bark River, MI
September 3-4 at Crandon, WI
September 15 at Chicagoland Speedway, IL
