The inaugural U.S. Rallycross Championship debuts in the United States in 2011 with a six race slate, three of which will be combined with the TORC Off Road Racing Series at some of the greatest venues in off-road today.

Rallycross is an extreme action-motorsport using World Rally Championship type race cars competing on a closed, short course…similar to TORC’s Off Road Truck race courses! With strong roots coming from the Nordic countries such as Netherlands, Belgium and France, the FIA European Rallycross Championship is the largest of its kind.

The new debut of the U.S. Rallycross Championship will be included as part of a newly announced GLOBAL RallyCross Championship, an ESPN partnership with races leading and including the ESPN Summer X Games.

The U.S. Rallycross Championship will make three stops on the TORC Off Road Championship tour in 2011, at the famous off-road facilities Bark River and Crandon International Raceway. Rallycross will also compete with TORC at Chicagoland Speedway in September as part of the tracks large NASCAR weekend, the first race of NASCAR’s “Chase” Championship run.

“We are very excited to combine the synergies of short-course off-road racing of TORCs trucks series and RallyCar. We are building a great partnership with RallyCar and look forward to welcoming their strong field of competition at some of America’s finest off-road venues in 2011” stated Kevin Miller, CEO of the United States Automobile Club and the sanctioning organization behind the TORC Series.

“I’ve been stoked since the moment Kevin approached me about partnering with TORC! The opportunity to bring this new-to-America sport to the huge TORC audience at legendary venues like Crandon is an awesome opportunity for RallyCar, our teams, and their sponosors.”

Race Schedule:
