30-Year-Old Bronco Looking for 30th SCORE Win

Nov. 19, 2008 By Press Release
SACRAMENTO, CA - Currently ranked seventh overall in SCORE points this year, brothers Don and Ken Moss are leading the Class 3 competition coming into the fifth and final SCORE Off Road race of the year – the 41st Annual SCORE Baja 1000.  This year’s rugged 631 mile course will start in Ensenada on Friday, Nov. 21, and cover much of the northern half of the majestic Baja California peninsula before looping back to finish in Ensenada some 30 hours later.

The Moss Brothers will be joining 375 other entries from 39 states and 24 countries looking to conquer this year’s course which will include the treacherous La Rumorosa grade, only seen twice before in SCORE racing.  The brothers and their amazing Black Bronco crew are five time SCORE Class champions and six time SCORE Class 3 winners in the Baja 1000.  However, this week the team is looking for their 30th SCORE Class 3 win !

At last year’s Baja 1000, KC HiLiTES joined Moss Brothers Racing as they raced the full peninsula outfitted with all new HID KC lights, a huge step up for the team.  At this year’s race, their sturdy ’79 Ford Bronco will surely outshine the competition with KC’s SEMA award winning 70 watt POD HID lights.  With a 7.25” carbon fiber housing, external ballast and unbreakable hard coated Lexan lens, the darkness of the Mexican terrain will no longer be an issue.

Undefeated in SCORE Class 3 since 2002, Moss Brothers racing is one of only 15 teams still in contention for the Toyota Milestone award, an honor they have earned twice before.  The Black Bronco crew will be nearly 15 strong, including drivers, and will be relying on the stellar BFG pit support network once again.  The Moss Brothers have proudly raced exclusively on BF Goodrich rubber and are hoping to bring them another Class 3 championship.

Fans can pilot the entry themselves over more than 100 square miles of unpredictable terrain by selecting the Moss Brothers Class 3 entry in the largest off road landscape ever created in “BAJA: Edge of Control” available in Xbox360 and Playstation 3 platforms at your local games retailer.  Players can put their off road machines to the test in near vertical hill climb challenges, head to head open class races, circuit races and the ultimate off road endurance challenge: the BAJA.  The games’ revolutionary vehicle physics deliver unprecedented life like handling and a support management system allows gamers to monitor and repair realistic vehicle damage as fenders fly, tires are blown, suspension is stressed and engines overheat.  With the level of detail in each vehicle, the vast open vistas and most realistic off road physics to date, “BAJA: Edge of Control” will provide an unparalleled racing experience.
