Esteban Hernández is the proud owner of this rare 1995 2-door Chevy Tahoe.  This truck has been in the family for a few years.  It wasn’t until about 6 years ago that he purchased the Tahoe from his Dad, and then started building it.

Suspension lift, wheels, and tires were some of the first upgrades that made this a head turning 4x4 truck.  Here are some of the modifications he has done to it:

Performance

  • TDI swapped to Vortec 5.7L
  • 6-inch RCD Suspension Lift Kit
  • Bilstein 5100 Series Mono-tube Shocks
  • Weld Super Single 16-inch Wheels
  • 33-inch TSL Super Swampers
  • Aluminum Radiator
  • Optima Battery
  • Borla Cat-back exhaust
  • K&N FIPK II Intake Kit
  • Transmission Shift Kit

Exterior

  • GM White w/ Pearl Clear Coat
  • Paint matched mirrors and handles
  • Billet Chevy Bow-tie, grill inserts, and antenna
  • Sidewinders electric steps
  • APC Clear Corners and parking lights

Interior

  • Kenwood CD/MP3 head unit
  • Kicker 12-inch sub
  • Kicker door and panel speakers
  • Precision Power 1000Watt Amp

Esteban enjoys heading up to Azusa Canyon in California with his Tahoe and doing some mud-boggin’.  He also likes doing hill climbs, crawling over rocks, and going through rivers.  He likes to romp on it, and isn’t afraid to hit the pedal to the metal.  He has blown the transmission twice while wheelin’—does that tell you something?

Esteban is getting ready for the next phase of the Tahoe build, and these are some items on his wish list:

Future Upgrades

  • 35 or 37" Tires
  • Front/Rear Lockers
  • 4:86 gears
  • Aluminum Diff Cover
  • Headers
  • MSD Off-Road Ignition
  • Performance Pulley System
  • RCD Double Shock Hoop
  • Bilstein double front shocks
