Powering the YZ80 is a potent 83cc motor that features a 26mm Mikuni carburetor packed into a race-bred chassis supplying over 10.8 inches of suspension up front and 11 inches of suspension in the rear. Front and rear disc brakes provide excellent stopping power.

Past improvements to the frame made it stronger and stiffer. To control stopping, the brake pad material allows a more precise "one-finger" feel. Attention to detail includes the new perforated tank decals that enable gas fumes to "breathe" easier, preventing the decals from bubbling and/or peeling.

The YZ80 will be available in Team Yamaha Blue/White for a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $3,149.
