Roger Norman will Compete with JT Taylor at Stampede Race This Weekend

Sep. 09, 2010 By Press Release
RENO, NV -  Roger Norman will team with JT Taylor in the TubeShark / Torchmate Rock Buggy for this weekends Stampede Race at Exit 28 Motorsports Park.  They will be one of 54 teams that will attack 60 miles of the toughest terrain in Nevada fighting to win the $10,000 grand prize.

JT Taylor and Roger Norman teamed at the 2010 King of the Hammers where a mechanical failure took them out of the race.  They are already on the confirmed list for the 2011 King of the Hammers race, but want to participate in this qualifier for the challenge.  “I am excited and look forward to running new terrain that has barely been run before, versus Johnson Valley where the locals know where every rock is placed,” commented JT Taylor, car owner and racer.  “It is great to run with Roger again, he is always fun and inspiring to be around in race mode.”

Roger Norman is familiar with the land, but not all of the rock courses that they will be taking on.  “When I ran the course at the VORRA Xtreme Outlaw 250 race, I had to remember that it takes a while to get all the rocks off the course.  For this kind of racing, it is perfect, and with all the rock crawling areas it is going to be awesome,” said Roger Norman, land owner and racer.
