Polaris pulled the wraps off its newest creation: the Polaris XPEDITION, a new line of adventure side-by-sides (UTVs) aimed directly at off-road enthusiasts.

According to Polaris, the XPEDITION is built to travel deep into the backcountry, away from the trailheads and the crowds. It boasts a range farther than any other Polaris vehicle, features to overcome just about any obstacle on the trail, and the power to handle technical terrain.

Polaris XPEDITION Specs

The Polaris XPEDITION has two models: the XP and the ADV. The XP features a large dumping cargo box with a 1,000-lb capacity, a 2-inch hitch receiver, and a 3,500-lb winch. The ADV adds a fully enclosed cab with removable doors and windows, a cargo box with a 600-lb capacity and a lockable tailgate, and an integrated HVAC system. Both models are available in 2-seat and 5-seat options, and have features like RIDE COMMAND with GPS mapping and group ride, JBL audio with Bluetooth connectivity, FOX 2.5 Podium QS3 shocks with 14 inches of travel, and over 100 accessories to make your ride your own.

The Polaris XPEDITION is powered by a ProStar 1000 engine that delivers 100 horsepower and 71 lb-ft of torque, paired with an automatic PVT transmission with high and low range. Both models also boast a true on-demand AWD system that automatically engages all four wheels when you need more forward traction and reverts back to 2WD when you don’t. The XPEDITION also features an exclusive Terrain Management System that lets you choose from four modes: Trail, Rock, Mud, and Snow. Each mode adjusts the throttle response, engine braking, AWD engagement, and traction control to optimize your ride for any terrain.

“The Polaris XPEDITION is the ultimate adventure side-by-side for those who want to go further, do more, and see more,” said Mike Speetzen, CEO of Polaris. “The Polaris XPEDITION is not just a vehicle, it’s a way of life. It’s for those who crave adventure, exploration, and discovery.”

Pricing and availability

The Polaris XPEDITION XP starts at $28,999 US MSRP, for the XPEDITION ADV add a $1,000 premium to start. Both will be available in dealerships in early 2024. Until then, you can bide your time with other XPEDITION enthusiasts dissecting every detail at XPEDITIONforum.com
