These 3 ton floor jacks are made to make it as easy and safe as possible for you to lift up your off-road truck or Jeep to help you change a tire and do any under-vehicle maintenance you get to get done.

Of course, it’s essential to pair your floor jacks with a pair of jack stands if you plan on going underneath your vehicle, but this article is all about floor jacks.

The most affordable 3 ton floor jack our list is the Torin BlackJack. This jack offers up a lift capacity of 3 tons (6000 pounds) and has a minimum lift height of 5 7/8” and a maximum lift height of 20 7/8”, so it can easily work for your daily driver or your truck.

Other features include a single-piston quick-lift pump and a safety bypass system designed to help prevent overloading. Torin backs up the BlackJack with a one-year warranty.

Despite its low price point, reviews on the Torin BlackJack are overwhelmingly positive and users have reported success using this on everything from a riding mower to a GMC Yukon.

Daytona Long Reach

Are you tired of fighting with your floor jack? Daytona’s Long Reach can solve your troubles with its convenient design and easy operation.

Daytona’s Long Reach sports a super-long handle so you can easily get underneath your vehicle. Its ball bearing casters ensure easy rolling, as well, combining to provide a straightforward, hassle-free experience.

It also boasts a massive range of lift heights, from just 3 ¼” up to 24 ¼”, which makes this a great fit for most any vehicle. It also features a rotating, removable jack saddle that adapts quickly to lift accessories, while a power coat finish works to keep rust at bay.

Finally, a dual piston hydraulic system is designed to make lifting your vehicle faster and easier than with a single piston system.

Big Red Pro Series Low Profile Floor Jack

Big Red 3.5 ton jack

Offering more lifting capacity at 3.5 tons (7000 pounds), the Big Red Pro Series Low Profile floor jack also offers a greater range of lift heights with a minimum of just 3.25” to a maximum of 22”. That means this floor jack can handle everything from super low slung cars and full size trucks and SUVs.

This more robust floor jack benefits from a dual pump, which lifts loads up to five times faster than a single pump and also offers a safety bypass system so you don’t accidentally overload the jack.

This jack also offers a wide stance for more stability, meets ASME safety standards, and comes powder coated for rust resistance.

Customer reviews are a little more mixed with the Big Red Pro Series. Some users are thrilled with the huge lift range, but others had issues with the jack leaking oil after repeated use.

JEGS Professional Low-Profile Aluminum Floor Jack

JEGS 3 Ton Floor Jack

JEGS is a name that is synonymous with the automotive world. It’s little surprise, then, that this 3 ton floor jack is one of the best performers in its class.

What’s more, this is one of the easiest floor jacks to operate. It rolls around easily, making it a breeze to line up and position.

You’re also getting the convenience of a 360-degree saddle. The saddle is also equipped with a heavy-duty rubber lift pad, which is designed to help prevent damage to your vehicle.

Due to its low-profile design, you can easily fit this 3-ton floor jack underneath vehicles sitting as low as 3 ½”. The JEGS Professional Floor Jack will also work on vehicles that are raised as high as 19 ¼”. The only thing keeping us from making this our “Editor’s Choice” is that the lift height is a tough lower than we’d prefer for an off-road vehicle.

This is one of the more expensive 3 ton floor jack options on our list, but it’s worth it if you want a jack that you can trust to provide you with years of service. And as an added bonus, JEGS has a hydraulic cylinder rebuilt kit available should you ever run into any trouble.

Pro Lift 3.5 Ton Jack Stands

Pro Lift Jack Stands

As me mentioned at the top of this article, if you are going to be working under your vehicle, you can’t rely on a floor jack alone. A pair of jack stands is, as far as we are concerned, essential equipment for any mechanic.

These 3.5 ton jack stands from Pro Lift would pair perfectly with your 3 ton floor jack to make sure you can safely work on your off-road vehicle while it is lifted.

These jack stands have a lift range from 14 to 21 inches and are constructed of sturdy stamped steel with a cast ductile iron ratchet bar.

How do you use a floor jack?

To use a floor jack, begin by placing the jack under your vehicle. Make sure that the saddle (round metal piece) is directly under your vehicle’s crossmember.

The crossmember is the long metal support beam that runs underneath from the front fender to the rear fender on both sides of the car.

Once the saddle is in place under the crossmember, push down on the floor jack’s lever. This will cause the saddle to lift up, eventually coming into contact with the crossmember.

After making contact, you will need to keep pushing down on the lever. This will cause your vehicle to rise. When you have reached the desired height, place your jack stand under your vehicle to support it.

Jack stands are placed directly under jack mounting points. These are small metal protrusions located just under your car doors.
