American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has announced an expansion in the availability of upfit packages for the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler, following the enthusiastic customer response to their limited-edition Level II package for the 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary models. That package sold out in just two hours.

The new offerings for the 2024 Jeep Wrangler are exclusive and come in three levels of upfit packages: Upcountry, Upcountry+, and Level II. These upgrades bring 35- or 37-inch tires to the Wrangler Rubicon and, for the first time, introduce 35-inch tires to the Wrangler Willys model.

Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, expressed excitement about the added AEV packages, emphasizing that they allow the legendary Jeep 4×4 capability to be more accessible to Wrangler owners. He noted that this range of upfit packages enables off-road enthusiasts to choose the package that best fits their off-roading adventures.

Here are the specifications and details of the three upfit levels:

  1. AEV Upcountry upfit (available on Rubicon and Willys): This includes a 2.0-inch suspension kit, AEV jack base, AEV ProCal, 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, satin black AEV Pintler wheels, and additional enhancements. The MSRP for the Upcountry upfit is $7,476.
  2. AEV Upcountry+ upfit (available on Rubicon and Willys): Building on the Upcountry upfit, this package includes the addition of an AEV EX front bumper, AEV front skid plate, AEV non-winch cover plate, and an AEV front integrated off-road camera relocation kit. The MSRP for the Upcountry+ upfit is $11,599.
  3. AEV Level II Rubicon upfit (available on Rubicon): The most premium package includes a 2.5-inch DualSport suspension with Bilstein 5100 shocks, AEV 7000 series lights, 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, a Warn Zeon 10-S winch, and many other enhancements. The MSRP for the Level II Rubicon upfit is $20,049, and for the Level II Rubicon 4xe upfit, it is $22,099 (including a 4.56 gear upgrade).

The Level II specifications bring 14.2 inches of ground clearance, 37.1 inches of water fording, and varying degrees of approach, breakover, and departure angles, making these the most capable Wranglers ever created by AEV.

The new 2024 Jeep Wranglers with AEV upfit packages will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with orders being accepted through local Jeep dealers this month. Vehicles will ship directly from the Toledo Assembly Complex to AEV for upfit, then to the customer’s dealer of choice, ensuring a smooth transition from factory to customer.
