December 31st – 2014 San Diego, CA – UTVUnderground.com announced today that Walker Evans Racing has signed on as the sponsor of the first annual UTV World Championship, to take place in Laughlin, Nevada February 19th through the 21st. This exciting new event will feature two world championship UTV races including a Best In The Desert championship points race, and a short course / motocross style championship race. Walker Evans Racing will be the presenting sponsor of the Best In The Desert championship points race, which will feature the best field of desert UTV racers and teams in the world.
Walker Evans will be giving away shocks and wheels to select class winners, adding to the growing prize purses and contingency cash. Polaris RZR will be awarding the winner of both Championship races a brand new Polaris RZR XP1000, outfit with Walker Evans Racing shocks. More prizes will be announced as the race weekend draws near.

The Polaris RZR UTV World Championship is a three-day race event that includes one full day of racing, a day dedicated to contingency and tech inspection at Harrah’s Laughlin, and a day for demo and enthusiast rides, as well as a business-to-business UTV industry summit. The format will bring together UTV desert racing, UTV motocross style short-course racing, and UTV owners/enthusiasts, into one massive multi-day event on the edge of the Colorado River in Laughlin, Nevada. The event will also be a showcase for UTV manufacturers and aftermarket manufacturing companies. Enthusiasts and racers will be able to pre-run the racecourse in stock UTVs during the “Family Fun Poker Run”.
The Polaris RZR UTV World Championship is part of The Best in The Desert (BITD) Off-Road Racing Association championship points series making it the second of seven races in the BITD UTV Championship. Off-road production powerhouse Mad Media will be managing the marketing, production and television coverage of the event – which is slated for broadcast shortly after the event.

Walker Evans Racing will also host a racer shock tuning session on Thursday and Friday in Laughlin in addition to offering up shocks and wheels as prizes in the UTV World Championship races.
