Looking to explore the backcountry in a machine with 46 degrees of approach angle, 725 lb-ft of torque, and a built-in washer & dryer? EarthRoamer has a solution for you.

Starting with an King Ranch trimmed F-750 chassis from Ford, the company first converts the thing to 4WD, adding a solid drive axle to the front and a user selectable transfer case. A rear air ride suspension and hydraulic leveling system keep things smooth on the trail and make it easy to level up when parking for the night.

And you’ll be able to park just about anywhere, given the truck’s 46-degree approach and 26-degree departure angles. The whole machine spans 35 feet in length and is powered by the familiar 6.7L turbodiesel V8 from the Blue Oval, a unit which makes 330 horses and 725 units of twist. It’s all hooked to a six-speed automatic. Watch those clearance signs – the EarthRoamer XV-HD stands a full 13’6” tall.

EarthRoamer then fires up the off-road capability by adding gonzo-sized 46” Michelin XZL tires, Fox shocks to that rear air suspension, a 30,000 lb. Warn Industries winch, and enough LED lights to illuminate the dark side of the moon.

Able to carry 115 gallons of fuel and 250 gallons of fresh water, it shouldn’t be surprising the XV-HD has a tarmac-crushing GVWR of 33,000lbs. Like any other RV, there are black and grey water tanks but the onboard power systems for its electrical accessories is very unique. A full 2100 watts of solar capacity fills up a 20,000 watt Lithium Ion battery bank. Camping where it’s cloudy? A PTO driven hydraulic generator takes care of business.

A large auto-retracting awning with dimmable LED lighting combined with a slide-out exterior kitchen lets you you create your favorite meal in comfort in the wilderness. The exterior shower is perfect for spraying off dirt, sand, mud or snow off shoes, dogs, or anything else before entering your HD.

Inside, a pair of roof-mounted A/C units keep desert adventurers cool while in-floor radiant heat keeps things cozy during the cold nights. Spray-in insulation keeps the heat (or A/C) in the RV where it’s needed rather than letting it escape into the wilderness. All manner of creature comforts – washer/dryer, modern kitchen amenities, all manner of RV luxury features – line the interior.

The interior shown here is a sample layout one can spec without issue, but the company says deep-pocketed customers are welcome to choose from multiple floor plans. Custom built to order, the EarthRoamer XV-HD is hand built in Colorado.
