All-new 2018 Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon

Multiple reports from 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL owners suggest that Off-Road Pages will return to the Wrangler JL eventually through an over-the-air software update, after being deleted from the Uconnect 4C infotainment system without warning or reason.

Customers have been contacted by the Jeep Wave Premium Care program and told that they will receive “the feature through an over-the-air update at no cost and without a service appointment. A notice will appear on the Uconnect display that will advise owners when the download is available.”

Off-Road Pages (ORP) is an optional app that displays multiple vehicle settings and statistics like steering wheel angle, GPS coordinates, pitch, roll and more. The setup is only available with the Uconnect 4C NAV with 8.4-inch touchscreen.

Up until March. 8, 2018, the app was listed as an available option for the Wrangler JL on the brand’s online build and price tool. Customers who bought Jeeps with the feature reported seeing ORP working in the dealership but then having the app disappear once they arrived home.

Communications with customers from FCA have been murky on the issue, with different sources saying different things. The @UconnectCares twitter account was the first source that began telling customers that Off-Road Pages would not be available on the 2018 JL and would be introduced in 2019.

By March 14, representatives from the Jeep Wave Premium Care program were also telling customers that Off-Road Pages would never be available on the 2018 Wrangler JL. On around March 21, Jeep Wave changed its tune to say that ORP would be returning via an over-the-air update later on, while the @UconnectCares twitter account stopped addressing the issue altogether.

Multiple attempts by Off-Road.com to confirm that Off-Road Pages will return to the 2018 JL with communications representatives from Jeep and Uconnect have gone unanswered. We will update this post if a response comes.
