GMC has announced updates for the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali, which includes some styling changes to the front end and a new 10-speed automatic transmission.

The grille on the Yukon Denali has been tweaked ever so slightly for a fresh look, and inside the Yukon Denali will feature a new Mastique Ash real wood trim option. Aside from the change in appearance, GMC says that the new sculpted design of the grille will aid in air flow to the radiator to keep the engine compartment running cool.

The biggest changes on the 2018 Yukon is the addition of a 10-speed automatic transmission to the 6.2-liter V8. The new transmission will feature a lower first gear and higher top gear, providing more fine-tuned performance from the Yukon’s 420-hp V8 while also improving highway fuel economy.

Other standard features on the Yukon Denali include GM’s Magnetic Ride Control suspension, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, active noise cancellation and more.

GMC notes that more than half of all Yukons sold are Denali models, which is offered on Yukon and Yukon XL models.

The new 2018 GMC Yukon Denali will be available in dealerships in the fall.
