Hellwig Products has just unveiled its new air spring suspension for the new 2016 Nissan Titan XD pickup. According to Hellwig, the new Big Wig’s 2,800 lb. bags allow Titan XD owners to “tow and haul heavy loads with improved safety, stability and comfort by maintaining a level ride height, improving overall drive control.”

The new Nissan Titan XD has been popular among truck buyers thanks to its Cummins V8 diesel engine and new design. The diesel XD is rated to tow and haul heavier loads than any other Titan before it, but Hellwig says the heaviest of of loads will sag the back end of the truck just enough its new Big Wig’s will aid in properly leveling the vehicle to restore of level ride height. The Big Wig Air Bags (Part #6306) for the 2016 Nissan Titan XD features a 2,800 lb air spring for each side and heavy-duty bulletproof brackets engineered to stand up to the most demanding loads. Hellwig says the 2,800 lb. Big Wig Air springs are 3″ larger in diameter and up to 3″ taller than the 2,500 lb. air springs used by many other manufacturers, and therefore they require less air pressure for the same load. Hellwig says the end result is a softer spring rate and a more compliant ride.

Hellwig’s bolt-on air springs allow for quick adjustments in air pressure to match the load and can even be set up to be adjusted independently to level out uneven loads. When paired with the optional Compressor and Tank mount (Part #4803) the air pressure can be adjusted on the fly, allowing for even quicker load corrections without the need to stop at a service station.

Hellwig says its Air Springs can be installed easily with simple hand tools and includes all necessary parts for a complete installation. The optional Compressor and Tank Mount also includes all necessary parts and hardware. Hellwig air springs are made in the USA and come with a Lifetime Warranty on all steel parts.
