Fort Mill, S.C.
– A perfect race weekend in Lake Elsinore has given Jerett Brooks the momentum needed to capture the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro Lite championship. Brooks walked away from Rounds 13 and 14 with a total of seven wins on the season with one weekend of racing remaining in 2016.

Friday night under the lights, Brooks had to battle for the lead throughout the race but his persistence paid off as he took it over for the final time with only two laps remaining to take the checkered flag. Saturday night, Brooks was more dominate as he took the lead at the drop of the green and never relinquished it. The two wins this weekend have given Brooks a 36 point lead in the championship and some breathing room going into the final two rounds in Arizona.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend of racing!” stated an exuberant Brooks.  “The two wins have put me in a great spot heading into the last LOORRS rounds of the season and I’m that much closer to a points championship. My General Grabbers allowed me to stay out in front of the pack and bring home the gold.”

Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire, is looking forward to the real potential of Brooks bringing home the Pro Lite championship.

“As the only LOORRS truck class racing on DOT-approved tires, Pro Lite offers tire manufacturers a chance to show off our street-legal tires and we couldn’t be happier with what Jerett and his team have done with our Grabber tires,” stated Roffler.
