Bryce-Menzies-Red-Bull-Ghost-Town-Jump-8-29-16
Bryce Menzies has earned accolades and victories in his short career in off-road racing, but this past weekend he took on a new challenge: he looked to break the record for for the longest off-road jump on Saturday. The Bryce Menzies New Frontier was sponsored by Red Bull and Pennzoil, and the feat was set in an movie set ghost town in New Mexico… Menzies was trying to jump the town from end to end. But would he make it?

If you tuned in to the coverage over the weekend on Red Bull TV or NBC Sports you know doubt saw Menzies break the 332-foot record in his Pro 2 race truck. Menzies and crew spent the last six months working on completing this feat. The team began with test jumps at an undisclosed location outside of San Diego about four months ago. Menzies and crew tweaked the suspension, performance wind tunnel testing at Ford, and they even added weight to the truck in some areas so the truck would fly straight once it left the ramp and flew over the town.

When all was said and done, Menzies launched his truck to a distance of 379.4 feet, which Menzies later described as one of the greatest moments of his life. Check out the action as it happened in this recap video from Red Bull.
