Vision-Off-Road-Logo-2-9-16DECATUR, AL – Vision Wheel today announced a partnership with American off-road racing legend Rob MacCachren that will make Vision’s bead lock race wheels a component of MacCachren desert and short-course racing trucks.

Founded in 1976, Vision Wheel is one of the nation’s leading providers of custom wheels for cars and trucks and one of the first manufacturers of custom wheels. In early 2015, the company expanded its presence in the off-road racing market by announcing a partnership with SCORE International, the world-renowned sanctioning body for the five-race SCORE World Desert Championship that includes the SCORE Baja 1000.

With nearly 300 victories, MacCachren is the winningest driver in off-road racing history. His dominance in the extreme sport of off-road racing led to his signing in 2008 as a Rockstar Energy Drink athlete. MacCachren has raced and won in SCORE, BITD and SNORE – the three premier desert racing series, as well as The Off Road Championship (TORC) and Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) short course racing series. He has been selected four times to the American Auto Racing Writers & Broadcasters Association (AARWBA) Auto Racing All-America team and has been inducted into the Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame.

MacCachren and Vision Wheel officials hailed the new partnership as a winning combination.

“We want to position Vision Wheel as the premier off-road wheel company and there is no better way to do that than to partner with the industry’s premier driver,” said Vision Wheel’s Ray Gutierrez. “When it comes to off-road racing, Rob MacCachren represents the best in the business and we are honored that he has selected Vision Wheel to be a part of his team.”

MacCachren added, “Vision Wheel has a longstanding reputation for the production of quality products. We’re very selective about the partners and products we embrace, and we believe Vision to be the perfect complement to our long-standing tire partner, BFGoodrich Tires. We’re excited about the partnership and look forward to opportunities to help Vision further develop its motorsports program.”
