Riverside, CA 11/17/15
– After a long and grueling season at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS), RJ Anderson captured his 3rd off-road racing championship, his second in the coveted Pro-Lite class. Anderson led the entire Pro-Class in win’s with five 1st place finishes and appeared on the podium twelve times with fourteen top five finishes in sixteen rounds.  In addition, RJ captured his first career Pro-2 win in his second season as a Pro-2 driver, while proving to the series that he will be a force for years to come.

“It was a crazy season,” Anderson said. “There were lots of challenges in Pro-2 but my team and I continually pushed forward. The Pro-Lite was dialed in all year and it shows in the results.  This is my third championship in the Lucas series and likely my last in the Pro-Lite class, as I now will pass the truck onto my younger brother, Ronnie. I am excited to focus full time on Pro-2 in 2016 while also having my brother competing as part of the RJ37 team in his first full season as a Pro-Lite driver.”

RJ has competed in the LOORRS series since 2009. He began his off-road career competing in the Trophy Kart class before moving to UTVs, where he captured his first Lucas championship in 2012 in his Polaris RZR. Since then, RJ has won 2 Pro-Lite championships (including 2015), Pro UTV Driver of the Year, Pro-2 Rookie of the Year honors and captured a win in the Super-Lite Challenge Cup race.

“My team and I have already started preparing for 2016. My goal every year is to win a championship while representing my team, family and sponsors the best way possible. I intend on doing everything in my power to put myself in a position to win in 2016. The Pro-2 class is intense and it’s not something you can compete in half-cocked expecting to win. We know what it takes to win, so now it’s time to start preparing both my truck and body on becoming a champion in Pro-2. With that said, none of this happens without support from my family, friends, team and sponsors. I can’t thank them enough for all of their support.  Winning is truly a team effort.  I feel like we have the best team in off-road racing and we plan to continue proving that in 2016. Thank you to everyone for all of the support in 2015, this championship was for all of you!” says Anderson.

In addition to a successful racing season, RJ was also busy this fall preparing for and accomplishing another major feat. With a racing championship on the brink, RJ took time out of his busy schedule and traveled to Youngstown, OH to film his third video in his very successful XP1K film series. Once again, RJ teamed up with UTVUnderground.com & Mad Media to create a mind bending viral video where he performs epic stunts behind the wheel of one of his highly customized Polaris RZR vehicles. The team constructed another dream playground inside the ruins of Youngstown’s once thriving industrial complex. In the video, RJ drives his 200HP Polaris RZR XP Turbo smashing through buildings, skying over train cars and sliding down steel rails, showing once again that the Polaris RZR is one of the most capable off-road vehicles in the world.

The XP1K video series has become as important to me as my racing in many ways. Polaris has become such a huge part of my career.  I am truly honored to be able to have them supporting me both on the track as a racer and off the track as a brand ambassador. The XP1K videos have not only pushed the Polaris RZR into the mainstream, the videos have also given me a chance to showcase my skills in a more creative way. XP1K3 definitely proved that the series has developed a following and it’s always exciting to be able to see people react to the videos when we drop them,” says Anderson.

UTVUnderground Presents: RJ Anderson XP1K3 premiered to a LIVE audience halloween night during the Polaris Camp RZR event held in Glamis, CA. The video then launched worldwide in conjunction with the opening of SEMA show held in Las Vegas, NV, where XP1K3 sponsor BFGoodrich hosted a LIVE launch event in their massive SEMA space. RJ signed thousands of autographs, gave out shirts and posters while mingling with fans during four day event. Since its launch, the XP1K3 video has amassed over 5 million views through its multiple launch platforms in just over a week making it the most successful video in the series.
