MILWAUKEE – The new BOLT (Breakthrough One-Key Lock Technology) J-Mount Jeep hi-lift jack bracket mounting system was named a 2015 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) New Product Award winner in the Van/Pickup/Sport Utility category. With 16 different award categories, this popular annual competition recognizes outstanding achievements in the development of products being introduced to the specialty automotive aftermarket at the SEMA Show.

BOLT’s uniquely-designed Jeep accessory, the J-Mount, allows Jeep TJ and JK off-road enthusiasts to securely attach their hi-lift jack to the side of their vehicle for easy, vertical access, and features the one-key convenience of BOLT lock technology. This patented innovation permanently programs the lock to the Jeep owner’s vehicle ignition key, eliminating the need for extra keys.  Once the ignition key is inserted into the lock cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down and the first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key.  An auto-return spring locks automatically when the key is removed.

SEMA used a number of important product aspects as judging criteria for the award, including potential, innovativeness, consumer appeal, quality and workmanship, and availability (cost). “We designed the J-Mount and our other Jeep products to offer the simplified, convenient security of BOLT’s one-key lock technology to Jeep owners, on-the-go consumers that really benefit from easy access to protect their vehicle’s accessories, spare tire, under-hood contents, trailers and equipment,” said Erika Garcia, BOLT national sales manager.
