BFGoodrich-Lucas-Oil-MacCachren-3-26-14GREENVILLE, S.C. – Consistent performance throughout the race season helped BFGoodrich Tires claim two class championships and a total of 25 wins in the four pro classes in the 2015 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series season.

BFGoodrich Performance Team members Rob MacCachren and RJ Anderson claimed titles in the Pro 2 and Pro Lite class respectively with strong performances throughout the season and relying on the toughness and traction that BFGoodrich Tires provided. In the competitive Pro 2 class where traction and tires substantially influence performance of the 900 hp two-wheel drive trucks, BFGoodrich Tires swept the top three positions in the final standings with MacCachren, Bryce Menzies and Patrick Clark.

For the season, drivers on BFGoodrich Tires claimed more wins (25) and podium finishes (76) than any other tire manufacturer in the series.

“BFGoodrich took an aggressive approach to the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series this season and it paid off with more wins than last year and two titles,” said Peter Calhoun, BFGoodrich Tires motorsports manager. “We set out to prove that we have the fastest race products and the strongest engineering support on the ground by adapting our tires as needed based on track conditions and drivers preference by custom grooving our tires on site As with all our motorsports activities, we use racing as a laboratory to learn, continuously improve our product, as well as win. We are thrilled that Rob MacCachren continued to prove why he is among the greatest off-road racers in history and to welcome RJ Anderson to the winners circle with BFGoodrich.”

MacCachren staked his claim to the Pro 2 championship after a strong performance in the series finale at Lake Elsinore (Calif.) Motorsports Park, taking third in Round 17. For the season, MacCachren had three wins and 13 podium finishes. It’s the third time in six years that MacCachren has emerged as the Pro 2 champion in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Rounding out a successful weekend, MacCachren took the win in the Round 17 Pro 4 race, besting class champion Kyle Leduc. MacCachren finished second for the season in Pro 4 as well with 10 podium finishes, with Bryce Menzies in third in the Pro 4 championship.

Fellow BFGoodrich Performance Team member Bryce Menzies finished a close second in the Pro 2 class just behind MacCachren by taking a class leading eight wins on the season, but fell just 44 points shy of the No. 21 Rockstar Pro 2 truck of MacCachren.

MacCachren and Menzies both relied on BFGoodrich Tires All-Terrain T/A KR2 race tires. This innovative short course tire brings revolutionary toughness and flexibility on tread design to maximize performance in all conditions.

Anderson took his No. 37 LoanMart Pro Lite truck to a season championship by winning five races and placing on the podium 12 times in 17 races. Anderson relied on the DOT production BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM2 tires for hard cornering and reliable performance in the differing conditions and track configurations throughout the series.

Clark, new to BFGoodrich Tires this year, put together six podium finishes, including two wins, which was good enough for third place overall in the Pro 2 class. BFGoodrich Performance team member Casey Currie placed fifth overall in the Pro Lite class.
