Lake Elsinore, CA – The Stinger, Brandon Arthur, left his mark on the field when the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series held its final race weekend of the season at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Lake Elsinore, California. He had a 23 point lead on 4th place in the championship point standings, so he had to put in a strong showing in round 17. He kicked the weekend off by qualifying fastest in his group with a 50.223 on lap six.
On the first lap of the race, Brandon was running second with Brad DeBerti in the lead. Lake Elsinore is known for being a single lane race track. The combination of turns and huge jumps gives drivers few places to make a pass. DeBerti knows the fast way around and he wasn’t budging. Lap after lap, Brandon took the long way around the track throwing every move and trick possible to get past for the lead. He stayed glued to DeBerti the whole way and pulled alongside out of the final turn. He was inches short of taking the win but it was great to finish the season with a strong second; his 10th podium finish of the year.

The only thing left to do was the Challenge Cup race on Sunday. After his race in round 17, Brandon knew every inch of the track. During the cup race it showed. He came from the middle of the pack to take the win. “The truck was hooked up!” said Brandon, “My Toyo Tires let me go outside the groove to make passes. It was perfect all weekend. I can’t thank my team enough for all the support they have given me all year. I had a great battle with DeBerti on Saturday. We battled for the lead the whole race! It was so much fun to have such a tough but clean battle.”
“The cup race is always crazy. I came from about mid pack and just started picking them off one by one. I caught up to Mamer and had a good battle with him for multiple laps until I got around him.
