Greg-Adler-Motorsports-4-Wheel-Parts-6-24-15Compton, California – For the first time ever, the stars of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series are crossing the border into Baja, California and Greg Adler will be bringing the high impact excitement of his 900HP Pro4 to the brand new Baja International Short Course facility at Estero Beach in the port city of Ensenada, Mexico. The purpose-built track on the grounds of the popular Estero Beach Hotel and Resort, with the beautiful Ensenada Bay providing a scenic backdrop, will host Rounds 11&12 of the Series’ 18-Round schedule this weekend, August 1-2.

The passionate off-road fans of Baja have lined the courses of some of the most famed off-road races in the world for decades to merely catch a glimpse of the vehicles as they roared past. Now, Lucas Oil Off Road and short course are taking their place in the storied history of Baja off-road racing while the expected capacity crowds will have a view of the entire course from the grandstands while Adler and the word’s best off-road drivers slug it out at this inaugural event.

For Adler, a seasoned desert racer in addition to competing in the Series’ marquee Pro4 division, the return to Baja represents the opportunity to bring his career full circle as short course off-road racing makes its debut in Ensenada.  “There’s something special about racing in Baja. I started desert racing down there more than 20 years ago with Estero Beach in Ensenada serving as the base for our team,” he said. “Now, having the opportunity to go back there and race short course is definitely going to be one of the highlights of the season.”

Mike Seat and Team 4 Wheel Parts returned from Round 10 at Glen Helen Raceway, having replaced their motor onsite only to face the cancellation of the event due to rainstorms that drenched Southern California with record rainfall. This weekend will provide the opportunity for the team to set the tone for the remainder of the season at the newly constructed Estero Beach facility.

“This is going to be big,” Adler said. “We’ve only had a few weeks to get everything turned around to prepare for the event and it’s been tough on the team, but we’ll be ready.  We’re expecting huge crowds of passionate off-road fans and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Gates to the Baja International Short Course facility at Estero Beach open to the public at 8 a.m. and the spectator friendly event allows for full access to the open paddock as the Team 4 Wheel Parts crew makes final preparations to the #10 Pro4.  Practice and qualifying sessions are also open to the public, providing a full day of racing action, culminating in each afternoon’s main event featuring Greg Adler and the 900HP Pro4 division.

In addition to this inaugural Baja, California weekend, the 2015 Lucas Oil Off Road calendar will also see two-day events in Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada before returning to Southern California for the season ending Challenge Cup.
