LAKE ELSINORE, CA
– Team Toyo off-road driver Kyle LeDuc, was crowned the 2014 Pro 4 Unlimited Class champion Saturday at the Lucas Oil® Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) finale in Lake Elsinore, CA.  LeDuc’s #99 Monster Energy / Toyo Tires® Ford F-150 relies on Toyo® Open Country M/T®-R tires to get its 900+ horsepower to the ground.

The race weekend at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park included two regular season races for the Pro 4 Unlimited competitors and the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup race.  LeDuc swept all three races.  Round 15 was held on Friday, while Round 14 was held Saturday morning.  (Round 14 had been postponed in September due to heavy rains in Las Vegas.)  After qualifying fastest and easily winning Round 15, LeDuc only had to take it easy in Round 14 to clinch the championship title.  In true competitive form he went all out, clenching another race win and another overall championship.

Later in the evening LeDuc competed in the largest event of the series, the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup race.  The Challenge Cup combines the Pro 2 Unlimited and Pro 4 Unlimited trucks in a head-to-head shootout for a big payout at the end.  Putting an exclamation point on his championship, Kyle LeDuc walked away with the overall win, beating out 26 other competitors.

“That’s a wrap on one of the most successful years I have had in racing,” said Kyle LeDuc.  “I couldn’t have done it without my partnership with Toyo Tires — the best tires on the planet!”

“A big congratulations to Kyle LeDuc on winning the 2014 Pro 4 Unlimited class championship,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.  “The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is the premier short course off-road racing series in the country, and the perfect platform to show off the performance and durability of our Open Country tires.”

Kyle LeDuc and Toyo Tires have been dominant in the Pro 4 Unlimited class, winning the championship in 2012 and finishing runner-up in 2013.  During this 2014 championship run, LeDuc claimed 12 victories out of the 16 LOORRS races.  He was also awarded Driver of the Year during the LOORRS awards banquet on Sunday.

During Labor Day Weekend, LeDuc went to Crandon, WI and dominated the TORC (The Off-Road Championship) series with back-to-back victories; taking home both the TORC World Championship Ring and the sport’s top prize, the AMSOIL® Cup.
