— Global lubricant leader Royal Purple has stepped up to support “Pink” UTV racer Lacrecia Beurrier as she tackles The Mint 400 this year. The DragonFire-sponsored driver is the defending Sportsman Class champ, but she is looking to challenge the top pros this year. Since its first running back in 1967, The Mint has developed a well-deserved reputation for destroying cars and defeating drivers — exactly the sort of challenge Lacrecia is looking for and the ideal proving grounds for Royal Purple’s products.

Unlike some companies that primarily focus on fuel and other petroleum byproducts, Royal Purple’s sole mission is to develop products that significantly outperform synthetic and mineral based oils. This philosophy established by Royal Purple’s pioneering founder John Williams is upheld to this day… and backed by a team of formulators with more than 200 years of combined expertise at extracting maximum performance. “It is like they say, Royal Purple is the performance that outperforms,” says 2X Mint 400 winner Lacrecia. “Going Pro this time means I need the best I can get!”

After winning the Sportsman title twice, Lacrecia is looking to outperform her past wins by campaigning the Pro 1000 class this year. She enters this year’s race with a new Can-Am Maverick that should be topped off with fluids and fired up for the very first time this weekend. “Royal Purple will be the life’s blood of the new Can-Am,” explains the registered nurse-turned racer. “From the XPS Semi Synthetic 10w 40 oil in the engine to the 75–140 Synthetic Gear Oil in the front differential and transmission to the 75-90 Synthetic Gear Oil in the rear diff, radiator coolant and CV Grease, Royal Purple is flowing through the pink trimmed Can-Am.”

Royal Purple greasing the skids for the Can-Am with the pink trim? The pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness is not something Lacrecia just slapped on the car last October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “I have always run the Breast Cancer Awareness pink trim on all my racers,” explains Lacrecia. “I think Royal Purple is a very complimentary color!”

You will have to wait until March 14, 2014 to see how the color palette works at The Mint 400! In the interim, thanks go to a growing list of supporters, including DragonFire, RideNow, Can-Am, Bell, Elka, ITP, Lonestar, Mother’s, Rockstar Customs and now, Royal Purple.
