—Las Vegas champion desert racer B.J. Baldwin along with the new team of experienced racers Joe Ramirez and Brandon Walsh will feel the heat of the SCORE spotlight tonight during the third episode of the 2014 SCORE Dirt LiveHD internet show season at 7 p.m. (PST).

Baldwin, 34, of Las Vegas, is a two-time defending SCORE Overall point champion while Ramirez, 40, of San Vicente, Mexico and Walsh, 27, of Encinitas, Calif. while all be top racers in the approaching six-race SCORE World Desert Championship season.

With several million viewers in nearly 150 countries in 2013, Roger Norman’s Dirt LiveHD one-hour show will again be broadcast live weekly and the show will be anchored in 2014 around Norman’s new SCORE World Desert Championship series which has combined his two desert racing series, the SCORE Desert Series and the High Desert Racing Association. All live events, this is the second weekly Dirt LiveHD episode of 2014 in addition to 48 shows in 2013 along with live coverage from the three SCORE Baja race weeks, the massive SCORE exhibit at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo, the 2013 SCORE Awards Night and the three HDRA race weeks.

The 2014 season of Dirt LiveHD will include numerous on-site interviews in addition to the shows that like tonight will be broadcast from the SCORE broadcast studios in El Cajon, Calif., just east of San Diego.

Saving his best performance for his second-straight season-ending Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 victory, Las Vegas’ B.J. Baldwin rose from last year’s dusty desert battles with the world’s best desert racers to earn his second straight SCORE Overall season point championship as well as he fourth SCORE Trophy Truck class point title in the last eight years.

Entering the season-finale at the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 in fourth place in his class points, Baldwin drove solo brilliantly over the brutally-rugged 883.1-mile course across the northern part of Mexico’s majestic Baja California peninsula, to win the iconic race that was held on a course that was generally called the roughest loop course in the 46-year history of the event.

With the title, Baldwin, 34, became just the second driver in the 40-year history of SCORE desert racing to win back to back SCORE Overall season point championships (Jim Summners won three in Class 1/2-1600 in 1981, 1982, 1983). Baldwin has now won the SCORE Trophy Truck season point titles in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2013. And with his most recent win, Baldwin now has six career SCORE Trophy Truck race wins in the 20-year history of the sport’s most magnificent racing class.

Starting the season with a 12th-place finish in SCORE Trophy Truck in the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, Baldwin rebounded with a second-place finish behind Robby Gordon in the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 and then clinched his championship with his Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 victory on Nov. 16. For the second straight season he climbed his way back to the top of the leaderboard, driving the No. 1 Monster Energy Baldwin Motorsports Chevy Silverado, in the marquee SCORE Trophy Truck division for high-tech, 850-horsepower unlimited production trucks.

Mexico’s Ramirez, who was a SCORE Rookie of the Year finalist in 2013, finished his inaugural SCORE season with a third place finish in Class 7200 in his JNR Racing Ford Ranger.

Journeyman Walsh enjoyed his best SCORE season in 2013, finishing third in Class 7 in his Homemade Motorsports Toyota Tacoma.

With SCORE merging Class 7200 into Class 7 for the 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship, Ramirez and Walsh have decided to combine JNR Racing and Homemade Motorsports for an even stronger effort for the upcoming season.

Also on tonight’s show, Las Vegas SCORE Trophy Truck racer and noted mechanic T.J. Flores, owner of Champion Race Works in Las Vegas, will present another special Tech Tips segment.

The high definition shows also includes numerous award-winning video highlight packages, most produced by Mexico’s Cactus Films or San Diego’s Tempt Media.

Dirt LiveHD also goes on-site live with expanded event coverage during SCORE events. Live event coverage in 2014 will include the entire six-race 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship series of three races in the United States and three in Baja California, Mexico.  The first event of the inaugural SCORE World Desert Championship series will be the 28th annual Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 to be held Feb. 27 to March 2 in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico.
