BFGoodrich-Logo-2-19-13The mecca of short course off-road racing witnessed big crowds, fast course conditions and door-to-door racing at rounds 13 and 14 of the Traxxas TORC Series, presented by AMSOIL and the World Championship races this past weekend. When all was said and done drivers on BFGoodrich Tires claimed three wins and 12 total podiums to go along with eight World Championship race titles.

Team BFGoodrich member Rob MacCachren put in a veteran performance by sweeping the Pro 4 races and finishing second and third in Pro 2 respectively to dig his heels into the Pro 4 standings. After the Crandon weekend, MacCachren has 285 points and stands just eight points out of first place, behind Johnny Greaves (293) and Ricky Johnson (290).

Fellow Team BFGoodrich member Bryce Menzies took the win in Pro 2 in Round 14 and a third place finish in Round 13. He stretched his lead, and his chance to defend his title in the Pro 2 category over MacCachren and Chad Hord.

During the weekend, Luke Johnson, also on BFGoodrich Tires, would clinch the season title in the Pro Buggy class, even with not finishing a lap in Round 13. With a commanding lead in the season standing after eight season wins, Johnson only needed to start a race over the weekend to clinch the class championship.

Another Team BFGoodrich member Andrew Caddell, who had not been driving regularly this season, took advantage of his opportunity and placed a strong third in the Pro Light division in Round 14.

While the conditions were ever changing and moisture crept up through the dirt onto the track, making for a rough, rocky surface, the drivers were appreciative of the great racing and raucous crowds.
