Banning-Motorsports-Vegas-Reno-8-23-13Las Vegas, NV – Banning Motorsports takes another impressive win at the Best in the Desert General Tire Vegas to Reno race. The 1178 car brought home the gold for Banning Motorsports with a nearly perfect race. This is an incredible third win in a row at Vegas to Reno for the 1178 car and the fourth straight for Banning Motorsports. The team’s winning record at the longest off road race in the United States is simply incredible.

They were stuck in the silt one time in the #1178 car but otherwise, it was a perfect day. The Ford power plant ran flawlessly thanks to the NEO Synthetic Oil coursing through it and the General tires were spot on with no flats all day. The team’s FOX shocks with Eibach springs were smooth and crisp soaking up the rough spots on course. The Odyssey battery got the car fired in the morning and kept everything powered up all day long. KC Hilites furnished daylight brightness all the way to the finish line.

The 1023 car was not as fortunate. They were running strong and gaining positions on the road until they encountered mechanical problems that ended their day at race mile 164. They were disappointed but thanks to Best in the Desert, they were recovered from the desert in a timely fashion.

“We want to thank all our sponsors for their support,” said Lee Banning Sr, “They make our team one of the strongest in the desert. Thanks also to our chase guys and there families for letting them take time away to chase us at these races. You’re the best chase team in the dirt and we want to thank you! We deeply appreciate our fans and supporters. You are the best fans anyone could ask for. Thank you for all the prayers and encouragement, it means the world to us all. Last but not least, thanks to our families, our wives and kids for letting us do what we all love to do; play in the dirt, thanks.”

The Banning Motorsports Team is heading back to Parker, Arizona where they picked up first and second place finishes to kick off the 2013 season. The BITD Bluewater Desert Challenge is a two-day heat race format taking place on October 11-13. The team hopes to pick up where they left off in January with a dominating run in Parker.
