Team-UXC-Heartland-8-16-13Running into the sixth year of racing the GBC Heartland Challenge has become a staple in the schedule of many racers during the summer break from the national series. According to Team UXC Racing the Kyner’s are great people and run a great event. This will be Team UXC Racings Michael Swifts sixth run in the woods of Carlisle Iowa as well. The Shelbyville Tennessee native will be piloting his Can-Am Talk.com / Team UXC racing Renegade in the Pro 4X4 Iron-Man class and with a payout of $2500 at stake Swift is taking all challengers. Swift has taken the first place honors at four of the five previous events and is looking to take his place among the leaders once again in 2013.

This event pits racers against woods, weather and anything else that comes up during a ten hour run to the finish. It will be a test of man and machine leaning towards patience as well as preparation to be the key elements. When it gets dark PIAA will be onboard the Can-Am Talk.com / Team UXC Racing machine to keep it moving forward with plenty of visionary light.

Swift will not be alone though as fellow Team UXC racer Don Higbee will be stepping into the mix to keep things interesting. Higbee made his best finish of third also in the Pro 4X4 Ironman class, which he hopes to improve on this year and has attended four out of the five events at the Heartland. Don is a Casper Wyoming native but calls this race his “as close to home as it comes” event. Don will be competing on his Team UXC Racing Can-Am Renegade 800.

As if the Utility Ironman racing would not be enough, the Team UXC Racing – Evans Coolant Can-Am Maverick will make an appearance to collect the prizes as well. The UTV racers will be lined up for four hours on Friday night for great fun and Team UXC will be there to join in the mix. We will have a post race report to fill you in on the action and results for Team UXC racing so stay tuned!
