Bryce-Menzies-TORC-BFGoodrich-8-14-13Drivers on BFGoodrich Tires continued their successful run in the Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL at the Red Bud MX track on Aug 10-11. A podium sweep of the Pro 4 class in Round 12 on Sunday served as a tremendous finale in what was a big weekend for the tire manufacturer which claimed five wins and 13 total podium finishes in the pro classes and won 10 of the 12 the sportsman class races as well.

Red Bud has notoriously technical and natural terrain to maneuver through which can and did prove to attract aggressive racing. Team BFGoodrich member Bryce Menzies swept the Pro 2 class both days while Rob MacCachren captured two podium spots in Pro 2 on the weekend.

The Pro 4 class was shown to be the races dominated by BFGoodrich over the weekend. On Saturday in Round 11, Mike Jenkins separated himself early from a tenacious battle behind to take his first win of the season in Pro 4. Meanwhile Ricky Johnson had to overcome some rough action including a roll over to seize the final podium spot in third.

The Round 12 race was cleaner run as MacCachren flew out to an early lead, was only briefly passed then flew out to a multiple truck length lead and never looked back to claim the win. Meanwhile Ricky Johnson and Scott Douglas held off the charge from the back to finish out the podium.

Another Team BFGoodrich member, Brad Lovell, placed third and fourth in Pro Light over the course of the weekend.

BFGoodrich are also well represented in the season standings. With a second place run, Ricky Johnson moved to the Pro 4 standings lead, while Menzies maintained his lead over MacCachren in Pro 2 and Luke Johnson with another win on the weekend extended his lead in the Pro Buggy standings.

BFGoodrich Tires remains the only tire manufacturer to record a win in every class this season on the Traxxas TORC Series schedule.

The next rounds of the Traxxas TORC Series will be held August 31-September 1 back at Crandon International Off Road Raceway in Wisconsin.
