SCORE-Logo-12-20-11SAN DIEGO — Champion desert racer Elias Hanna and crossover World Superbike champion Colin Edwards will bask in the glow of the SCORE spotlight as featured guests on Tuesday’s Dirt LiveHD internet show at 7 p.m. (PT). Airing in High Definition on www.score-international.com, the show will air from its broadcast home at the SCORE International tech shop in El Cajon, Calif., just east of San Diego.

Hanna, 30, Ensenada, Mexico, has quickly become one of the top racers in the SCORE Desert Series in the No. 740 HN Motorsports Ford Ranger that he drives in Class 7SX. In just three seasons as a SCORE regular racer, Hanna has won three consecutive Class 7SX season point titles.

During these last three-plus seasons, Hanna has won his class in eight of 12 SCORE Baja races, including three in a row in both the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 (2011, 2012, 2013, the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 in three of the last four years (2010, 2011, 2013) as well as winning his class in the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 in both 2010 and 2012.

Hanna also won the old SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge in his class three times, 2010, 2011 and in the second of two rounds in Laughlin to start the 2012 season.

While hoping to win his fourth straight SCORE Class 7SX season point crown with a podium finish in November’s 46th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, HN Motorsports is building a Class 6 truck for Hanna to drive starting in 2014.

Switching from pavement racing to the desert, Edwards, 39, Conroe, Texas, won both the 2000 and 2002 World Superbike road racing championships. Edwards is known in motorcycle road racing circles as the ‘Texas Tornado’. Like so many stars from other forms of motorsports have done over the past four-plus decades, Edwards has put together a team of riders to race in this year’s legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, the granddaddy of all desert races. Competing in the worldwide MotoGP series since 2003, Edwards is currently 17th in points on the 2013 season riding a Kawasaki.  Edwards and his team are expected to ride a Yamaha in November’s Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.

A Suzuki 8-Hour Champion in both 2001 and 2002, Edwards started the Texas Tornado Boot Camp in 2010, a unique, world-class motorcycle training facility located on 24 acres in Montgomery, Texas.

Also on Tuesday night’s show, SCORE Trophy Truck racer and prep-shop owner T.J. Flores of Las Vegas will present another special Tech Tips segment. The subject this week will be a detailed look at fuel cells.

The featured video of the week will be the highlight video from HN Motorsports showcasing Hanna’s victory in June’s Tecate SCORE Baja 500 in his hometown of Ensenada.

Roger Norman’s Dirt Live one-hour show is broadcast live weekly and the show is anchored around Norman’s two desert racing series, the SCORE Desert Series and the High Desert Racing Association as well as the new bonus points championship purse program he has developed called the World Championship of Desert Racing. All live events, this will be the 30th weekly Dirt LiveHD episode to air. Replays of previous Dirt LiveHD shows are kept in an electronic library on the dirtlive.com website.
