SCORE-Logo-12-20-11SAN DIEGO — With just a couple of days remaining before the celebration begins for the 45th Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, special guests during Tuesday’s airing of Roger Norman’s Dirt LiveHD weekly Internet broadcast Tuesday at 7 p.m. Pacific Time with be SCORE Trophy Truck racer Armin Schwarz of Germany and sportsman motorcycle racer Brett Robinson. Airing in High Definition on www.score-international.com, the show will air from its broadcast home at the SCORE International tech shop in San Diego.

Schwarz, a veteran of over 100 World Rally Championship races, is driver of record and teams with Denmark’s Martin Christensen behind the wheel of the No. 15 All German Motorsports BMW X-6 SCORE Trophy Truck.  Schwarz/Christensen will be among the favorites in the huge field of 37 high-tech, 850 horsepower unlimited production trucks.

The other special guest this week will be Robinson, who leads a team of military veterans from the Marines, Navy Seals and Army Rangers who race to raise funds for injured military personnel. The group finished second in their class in last year’s Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 peninsula run from Ensenada to La Paz.

Special time in Tuesday night’s show will be devoted to updates for this week’s second round of the 2013 SCORE Desert Series being held in Ensenada, Mexico.

Roger Norman’s Dirt Live one-hour show is broadcast live weekly and the show is anchored around Norman’s two desert racing series, the SCORE Desert Series and the High Desert Racing Association as well as the new bonus points championship purse program he has developed called the World Championship of Desert Racing. All live events, this will be the 19th weekly Dirt LiveHD episode to air.

Dirt Live also goes on-site live with expanded event coverage during SCORE and HDRA race weekends and recently broadcast four days of coverage from the 27th Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 from San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico in March and from the King Shocks HDRA 250 in Ridgecrest, Calif. in April.

For this weekend’s Tecate SCORE Baja 500, Dirt LiveHD will have extensive live coverage of for three consecutive days starting with Thursday’s first-ever SCORE Baja race qualifying for SCORE Trophy-Truck and Class 1. Anchoring the coverage will be DirtLiveHD host George Antill along with Dianne Dahlgren, Miss Monster Energy and Miss Supercross.  Special guest will be legendary desert race Ivan Stewart and race day coverage will include live race action from various locations on the 500.99-mile race course.  Live coverage will be found each of those days at www.score-international.com.

SCORE BAJA FIESTA
Colorful race week festivities will include several first-time events for SCORE, starting with qualifying for SCORE Trophy Truck and Class 1 followed by the Monster Energy SCORE Kick Off Party on Thursday, May 30 from 7 p.m. until Midnight at the start/finish line area in the heart of Ensenada. With donations for La Cruz Roja Mexicana (Mexico’s Red Cross), the event will include a racer’s autograph party and vehicle display.

Friday, May 31 will see the day-long, pre-race Manufacturer’s Midway and contingency festival in the start finish line area in Ensenada. With three performances during the day at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., will be a special appearance of the Monster Energy Freestylemx.com show featuring XGames stars Kenny Bell, Dustin Miller and Rich Kearns.

During the race on Saturday, June 1, the Monster Energy SCORE VIP hospitality area, will be part of the start/finish line compound. The Monster Energy SCORE VIP area will include live streaming from the race course as well as updated leaderboard and Internet tracking display of the race vehicles.

All of the week’s festivities will be aired both live and same-day including the race, on the Dirt LiveHD SCORE race week shows, airing via the internet on the SCORE website.

This year’s Tecate SCORE Baja 500 race course will be just over 500 miles long, starting and finishing in the heart of Ensenada on Blvd. Costero adjacent to the landmark Riviera del Pacifico Cultural Center.

Besides Schwarz and Robinson, other guests scheduled this week along with show host George Antill are SCORE’s Roger Norman with his ‘pit stop’ segment along with the regular Tech Tips segment which this week will feature SCORE co-tech director Jake Velasco along with information on any course updates. The Dirt LiveHD video of the week will also be shown.
