SCORE-Logo-12-20-11SAN DIEGO — Returning to its regular San Diego studios after two weeks in Las Vegas, legendary desert racer Larry Roeseler will be the spotlight guest on Roger Norman’s Dirt Live weekly internet broadcast Tuesday at 7 p.m. Pacific Time. Airing on www.score-international.com, the show will be back in its normal broadcast home at the SCORE International tech shop in San Diego.

Roger Norman’s Dirt Live one-hour show is broadcast live weekly and the show is anchored around Norman’s two desert racing series, the SCORE Desert Series and the High Desert Racing Association as well as the new bonus points championship purse program he has developed called the World Championship of Desert Racing. All live events this, will be the 14th weekly Dirt Live show to air.

Dirt Live also goes live with expanded event coverage during SCORE and HDRA race weekends and most recently broadcast four days of coverage from the 27th Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 from San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico in March and two weeks ago, Dirt Live race coverage emanated live from the King Shocks HDRA 250 in Ridgecrest, Calif.

SCORE is planning even more enhanced coverage at the upcoming 45th Tecate SCORE Baja California in Ensenada, Mexico. Being held May 30-June 2, the event will also commemorate the 40th anniversary of SCORE International, which started on July 26, 1974 with the Tecate SCORE Baja 500.

With an amazing desert racing career spanning nearly five decades, Roeseler, 56, of Boulevard, Calif., has 11 careers SCORE season class point championships with unmatched career totals in the three SCORE Baja races that include a combined 39 class wins with 16 overall victories.

In the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, Roeseler has six class wins and two overalls, in the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 he has a race-record 16 class wins with 11 overalls and in the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 he has earned 17 class wins with a race-record 13 overalls.

Roeseler is a champion motorcycle racer who adapted to four wheels just as proficiently. In the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 nine of his 11 overall wins are on a motorcycle and in the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, 10 of his 13 overalls are on two-wheels.

Two of Roeseler’s three career SCORE Trophy Truck race wins were for the race team of new SCORE owner Roger Norman. The pair teamed together to win both the 2008 SCORE Las Vegas Primm 300 and the 2008 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.

Before racing with Norman Motorsports and now after, Roeseler has been a team driver for Las Vegas’ Terrible Herbst Motorsports. First he won several races split driving time with Troy Herbst in the unlimited Class 1 and now he is the second driver for Tim Herbst in the No. 19 Monster Energy Terrible Herbst Motorsports F-150.

In last year’s Tecate SCORE Baja 500, Tim Herbst and Roeseler finished 15th out of 36 starters and in the 2013 season-opening Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 the pair finished sixth out of 35 starters in SCORE Trophy Truck.

The Tim Herbst/Larry Roeseler team is also competing in the HDRA series this year while challenging for a title in the new World Championship of Desert Racing bonus point program that includes SCORE and HDRA races. In the first two 2013 HDRA races, the duo has earned two podium finishes, third and second, to lead the HDRA series point standings.

Besides Roeseler, other guests scheduled this week along show host George Antill are SCORE’s Roger Norman with his ‘pit stop’ segment, SCORE sponsor Yves Morizot of the Stand21 company of France who is chairman of the Racing Goes Safer Foundation along with the regular Tech Tips segment which week will feature SCORE co-tech director Jake Velasco. The Dirt Live video of the week will be from the AMA National Hare and Hound motocross series.
