It’s ‘All systems a go’ in Idaho as the NHHA returns for its second year in a row to the area south of Murphy, Idaho. Dirt Inc has prepared 100 miles of course that will sure to test all bikes and bodies at this year’s Round 4 of the AMA/Kenda National Hare and Hound Championship Series. 2011 is dedicated to the memory of Dirt Inc. member, Jody Schlapia. Jody lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer last November, but was instrumental every step of the way in helping to make Dirt Inc’s National one of the most exciting races of the year.
David Pearson and his Purvines Racing Honda team will be in full force as their new fast guy, Justin Morrow, looks to have another impressive race. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Destry Abbott is also en route, and his plane is expected to arrive at some point Friday morning. Off Road Support Kawasaki’s Jacob Argubright hopes to make it back on the podium after a 4th place finish at Round 3. Making the long trek north into Idaho from south of the Mexican Border, FMF/KTM’s Kurt Caselli looks to make it three in a row and take over the points lead here in Idaho.
But with all of the hoopla around the Top 5 in points, let’s not count out local favorite, Zip Ty Husqvarna’s David Kamo, who wants revenge from his second place finish at last year’s Dirt Inc / NHHA event. Also looking for their first chance on the podium is FMF’s Brett Saunders and Reno’s Robert Underwood, who both want to place their Kawi’s atop the box when all is said and done in Idaho.

After Round 3, the battle for the Pro Support Classes has begun to get heated. Both Dan Capparelli and Idaho’s Shayla Fulfer have taken large point leads as their class leaders heading into Round 4. David Fry and Sarah Kritsch both suffered DNF’s at Round 3. Unfortunately up here in Idaho, local BLM restrictions limit the event to bikes only and the ATV’s will be sitting out Round 4.
Prizes & Sponsors
Big money is up for grabs at this year’s Dirt Inc event, and each of the pros will have something to shoot for as the first rider to pass the hare will be $500 richer, thanks to Schlapia Off-Road and Jody’s family. That’s not all; riders atop the box will each be taking home their share of the guaranteed $500 purse provided courtesy of Dirt Inc. It’s not all about the pros however, as the local motorcycle businesses have each stepped up with huge give-aways.
Fastway and their new steering stabilizer will be on hand here at Round 4, and if the hands-on demo over at the Off Road Support pits isn’t enough, the first “B” Class racer holeshot through the Red Bull Arch will take home a brand new Fastway steering dampener of their own! That’s not all that is up for grabs here at Round 4. Rekluse, the makers of the best auto clutch in the industry, have stepped up yet again and are sure to turn some heads with give-aways of their own. Autograph Signing
There will be a Pro Autograph Signing on Saturday in Nampa, Idaho with the pros arriving some time around 5:00pm. It will take place at Dan Wiebold Ford and large crowds, including local news media, are expected so arrive early. The autograph signing last year was a huge success.
Important Race Info
· Main Pit/ Staging area will now be in the same location as last year’s national due to weather conditions. The club is moving the main pit area as we speak.

· Sign Ups are open from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday and 7:00am to 9:30am on Sunday Don’t Be Late!
· Start Time – Sunday March 20th, 2011 @ 11:00am
· There is a Mandatory Riders Meeting in the pits at 10:00am Sunday morning
· The race course is approx 70 miles long for 1-loopers and 100 miles for 2-loopers this weekend.
· There will be two alternate gas pits on Loop 1. Both are off the main highway, and they both will be accessible to pit crews prior to the start of the race. Additionally, there will be an Alt Gas on Loop 2 for riders with stock tanks. Dirt Inc. will have a gas truck leaving at approx 10:00am, so come prepared with spare gas cans to be sure you won’t run out!
· The bomb run at Dirt Inc. is open on Saturday for “WALKING ONLY” as the BLM restricts the use of the land to the event day only.
It has been very cold for the last month at the race site, and if you missed the news, they had snow last week! Bring warm clothes and be sure that you are prepared for 100 miles of cold, snowy, desert racing. Unfortunately, the dust levels will be low here at Round 4, but it should still be fun for all of you dust lovers.
