POLARIS TO OPEN NEW TRAINING FACILITY

Dekalb Technical College to House Company's Fourth Training Center in the Country

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 19, 2005 - Polaris Industries (NYSE: PII) this week announced plans to establish a dealer training center at Dekalb Technical College in Clarkston, Ga., near Atlanta. The facility, which will continue to house the college's Motorcycle Service Technology certification program, also will accommodate Polaris dealer training courses year-round.

Through Polaris' Master Service Dealer Training Program, dealers from across North America spend four to five days in training courses for servicing Polaris ATVs, RANGERs and Victory Motorcycles. Dekalb Technical College's ease of access, location and passion for industry partnerships were major considerations for the company to locate there.

"We're very excited to open our newest dealer training center at DeKalb Tech," said Chris Wolf, Service Dealer Development Manager at Polaris. "The college has been great to work with, and its facilities are perfect for our program. With hundreds of Polaris dealers in the southeastern part of the country, our decision to locate in the Atlanta area was an easy one."

Polaris currently conducts dealer training courses at Central Tech in Drumright, Okla., at the State University of New York (SUNY) in Canton, N.Y. and at Polaris headquarters in Medina, Minn. The first training course was held on Oct. 17.

By hosting the program on its campus, Dekalb Technical College will have access to Polaris products for use in its own certification program.

"It's been great to welcome Polaris to our college, and we're eager to begin working with the company as its program takes shape," said Mike Sachs, Motorcycle Service Technology instructor at Dekalb Technical College.
