Can-Am Unveils 2015 ATV and UTV Lineup

BRP has made some major updates to its Can-Am ATV and UTV lineup for 2015, with the biggest news coming in the addition of the Outlander L family. Can-Am will also offer a number of updates to returning models for the new model year, hoping to offer an ATV or side-by-side to fit just about any rider.

The new Outlander L lineup features a number of different options, including the Outlander L and L Max, Outlander 6x6 and the reintroduction of the Outlander 800R X mr.

“The launch of the new 2015 Outlander L line of ATVs is a significant and sensible decision for BRP,” said Chris Dawson, vice-president and general manager, Global Sales and Consumer Experience for Can-Am. “It can be challenging to maintain a premium positioning and a truly superior product in the price competitive mid-range category, but our engineering and design teams have done an outstanding job creating the affordable, class-leading Outlander L family of Can-Am ATVs.”

The Outlander 6x6 XT is a new six-wheel ATV that BRP says will provide class-leading performance, thanks in part to its 1,650-pound towing capacity. The 6x6 will be available in either a 650 (62 hp) or 1000 (82 hp) Rotax V-Twin motor. Riders will have the option of selectable six-wheel drive, a CVT with a new lower L-gar, Double Torsional Independent Trailing arm suspension, Tri-Mode Dynamic Steering and Visco-Lok QE. The Outlandar 6x6 XT also has a multipurpose cargo box that can carry up to a 700-pound load. The Outlander 1000 6x6 XT will retail for $15,549, while the 650 6x6 XT will run $13,649.

Outlander 800R X mr

The Outlander 800R X mr returns to the Can-Am ATV lineup in 2015, though it is heavily updated and now resides X mr line. It features a 71-hp Rotax 800R V-Twin engine. The 800 X mr features a shorter wheelbase SST G2 frame and five-way preload adjustable shocks designed specifically for tackling the mud. Can-Am fitted the ITP cast-aluminum wheels with Gorilla Axle Silverback. Standard features include Tri-Mode DPS, Visco-Lok QE, a 3,000-pound WARN winch, X-package graphics and a multi-function digital gauge. The 800 X mr has a suggest retail price of $12,149, and its joins the Outlander 1000 X mr $14,099 (which will be outfitted with new adjustable Fox piggyback shocks in 2015) and Outlander 650 X mr $10,499 in the Can-Am mud offerings.

The 2015 Can-Am Commander line will feature new wheels.

New 14-inch cast-aluminum wheels will accent the 2015 Commander models, with the Commander 800 DPS and Commander 1000 DPS getting updated silver-colored cast-aluminum wheels for 2015 while the Commander 1000 XT-P will receive updated beadlock wheels.

Other highlights no the 2015 Commander line include new colors. The Commander 800R and 1000 DPS will have a new option of Light Grey with Can-Am Red graphics The new color, along with Viper Red, will be a base color option for the new Outlander L models and is an option for all SST G2 Outlander DPS models and the Outlander 650 6x6.

2015 Maverick 1000R X mr

For 2015, the Commander 800R XT and Commander 1000 XT each are available with the Pearl White finish. The 1000 XT will also be available in a new Brushed Aluminum color with Can-Am Red highlights. The Pearl White and Brushed Aluminum with Can-Am Red highlights are available as optional colors on select Outlander and Outlander MAX XT models.

Black-and-Orange will be the lone choice for the Commander 1000 XT-P side-by-side, while the Can-Am Maverick 1000R X mr will be offered in offered in two colors in 2015 that include a Black-and-Yellow X-Team finish or Digital Camo and Manta Green finish.

The Outlander L 500 and 400 will be available in a new Light Gray with Can-Am Red graphics.

Both the one-up and two-up 2015 Outlander XT-P will only be offered in Black and Orange, while the Digital Camo and Manta Green scheme are options for the Outlander 1000 X mr and Renegade 1000. Finally, the Can-Am Outlander 1000 Limited will be featured in Pearl White or a Deep Pewter Satin.
