As many of you are persumably off-road enthusiasts, my guess is that the truck you drive is forced to spend a considerable amount of time on the local highways and freeways. That being said, consider the fact that there are thousands of trucks out there very similiar to the one that you take pride in. Why should all trucks be the same? And sometimes, its the details that make one truck stand out from the other.
In comes American Products Company. The guys (and girls) at APC have grown nearly out of control, producing products from Euro Lights, SpeedGlo gauges, Road Vision Mirrors, Intimidator Underhood Performance Accessories, Plasma Super White and Ultra White headlight bulbs, HID auxiliary and conversion lighting upgrades, and IcyHot driving and fog lights!...and on and on. We decided that there was little reason to blend into the crowd; the ORC staff was nearly drained of thought as we were brain storming for this project. Our goal was to build a very clean looking off-road truck that wasn't too gaudy, could handle rough off-road terrain, and looked at least slightly different from the masses. APC's Euro Taillights and Corner Lights were nothing but a good clean addition. The taillights feature a trick carbon fiber look, with three circular lights; the front corner lights add a clean, smooth look, eliminating the amber lens. Installation? Minutes. See below.
First, the Corner Lights
The start; behold the stock corner light.
This is kinda tricky if you decide to leave the grill in place, but it saves a lot of time. The entire corner light capsule is held in at two points; one point it is retained via a clip snapping it in place, the other point acts merely as a place holder. Using a flat blade screwdriver and a flash light, push the clip to release the capsule. You'll need to push the grill up and peek in there with a light to see the clip. Once the clip is spotted, it pops right out.
From here on out, its a matter of unpacking the new APC corner light and reversing the process. To re-install, place the inner most clip in its slot, and push the capsule in its place. Thats it!
Now for the Euro Taillights
Begin by dropping the tailgate, and removing the two phillips screws which hold the taillight assembly in place.
Once again, this is a very simple process; remove the light bulb sockets, set aside the stock light assembly.
Re-install the sockets into the APC unit, drive the phillips screws in their original position, and you're done!

The GoodThe Bad
  • Great, clean looks.
  • Excellent compliment to the Steel Horse billet grill
  • Set yourself apart from the stock trucks
  • The corner lights seemed to yellow slightly over the span of a couple months.
