These are a few questions about the Diff locks on a toyota Land Cruiser Hardtop 2007. How long should it take for the idiot light to go from flashing to solid ie locked? Can you lock the rear diff without putting it into 4WD?

Does anybody know if the squeakiny speodometer cables in late 80s and early 90s Toyota pick-up trucks amy also have an error in the speedo reading?
