There is a better V6 from Buick. The 3.8L Turbo V6. They used them in the Grand Nationals. It pushes about 296HP stock. this engine is kinda hard to get but worth the price. there is a Buick GNX that has over 1000+HP WITH the V6. When the DYNO reached 1000HP the tires started a smoke show (ON THE DYNO). youtube "1000 HP Grand National".

the 1000 hp Buick GN is small block chevy powered. I do know of some v6 Buicks making 1200+hp, but not on the stock block. It is a great little engine. One thing to consider: the Buick 350 V8 has the same bore, longer stroke (3.85) and is a low-rpm torque monster. It is often bolted into the Buick cars using the same motor mounts. It also has the front mount distributor. I'm sure it would be a tight squeeze into a small truck, but it could make an excellent rock crawling engine.

How did the swap ever turn out? Do you have completed pictures? Would you still do it knowing what you know now? Thanks!
